Has Newman been playing before Xmas?

Will he slot straight into your A grade?

Yeah, Hodgie was the other one, Ledge has only ever played 2 B grade games and taken 5/10 & 7/10, we'll put it to a vote but speaking to the group they want him straight in there providing he trains. He hasn't lost anything and can bat anywhere and loves the fast bowling coming at him.
No he hasn't played yet this season.

He had all of last season off, he's chomping at the bit, his missus works every 2nd Saturday and he has to watch his kids, we've got that sorted now. He was going to play against you guys in round 6 but had to leave at 5:30 and we didn't want to risk it, we've got a few training sessions over the break so he'll be good to go straight up.

Hey mate, he was best man at my wedding, we have been best mates since primary school, our kids are of a similar age, it's hardly babysitting, it's my wife helping our friends out. What goes around comes around.

LM relax. What I meant is our club is a creche sometimes. I know you 2 have been mates for years, I was talking to his brother a few months ago and he said his missus worked and he found it hard to play cricket with the kids.

Yeah, prick of a day, jumping at everything, I know what you mean, junior cricket coaches are glorified babysitters most of the time.
Well done on the weekend and have a great Christmas and New Year.
