Rose Park - Coach Rob O'Gorman, Captain Steve Neal
Para Vista - Coach Peter O'Brien, Captain Josh Vines
NEK - Coach Smasha, Captain Pete Atkins
Fitzroy - Coach Greg Matthews, Captain Steve Gigilo
Adel Lutheran - Coach Cam Borgas, Captain Jeremy Borgas
Seaton - Coach Jack Thompson, Captain Adam Harris

wrong on both counts for NEK....back to drawing board for you.

I believe S Holland may be going to NEK in a leadership role

Good appointment by Rose Park on there coach. Guy has forgotten more about cricket than most would know.

as a drinker and another player.......but keep the rumours coming....you may get one right one day....
coach...bucky...A grade captain .....cam.....ooohh so close...

Smasha you talk as Dutchy is a done deal at NEK, is this true as it is different from what i have been told?
If he does go are you going to play Div1 or you still playing B grade?

Powerport not sure about you think you funny and looking at you you should be but your not. Guessing you were the type of bloke who took names down of students who misbehaved when the teacher was out of the room.
And stop trying to hint your from the knights, we have a clear one d##khead policy and Gatty has been fulfilling the required quota for some years now.
Looking forward to the year ahead, first game against RP should be a cracker after all the crap on here ( most in good fun). PP you going to come and play with the big boys this year or going to hide down in the lower grades? Come up and introduce yourself.

Go the knighters in 2012-13

Auto: Do you think my left side is my best side......but how can i diss my right side. Tough being me.
Carey: Whoever turns up with 11 players should win
One ball bandit: Div 1 what’s that?
Smasha: If Para Vista win i will never play in the churches comp again
Hotpies: After a group discussion it was voted 5-1 Rose Park ( 3 of the lads were at Footy training)
Cougar: Didn’t want to pick anyone as he is such a good bloke just hopes everyone has a good game
Pidge: safooty i totally forgot about the forum this year.
Marshall: I'm just honoured you know my name and who i am George.
Pistol: Was mute have not heard boo out of him all year- still the best skipper iv played under
RP skipper: Ill have to check with Reidy and Cougar and get back to you
Bloody bouncer: As long as there is blood on the pitch i'm happy
Rita surprisingly picked the same as Bara
Phantom: I was the last good thing to happen in Churches so who cares who wins
Spintwin: Hopes is a good game, good luck to all- perhaps we can all sing Kumbaya in the tea break
Power Port: Sorry can’t stop and talk normally i have my Saturdays free in mid March to do my lawns this playing cricket is unheard of.
Goat Herder: Back in the early 80’s i was playing a game at a small ground near the city blah blah blah.........
Rolling brothers: Vista they use more hair gel than RP so they deserve our support
Ted : Ask the Exec
Tige : I fell asleep awaiting his response.

Sorry I made the mistake of asking Goat Herder what it was like playing in the 60's. He has only just finished telling me.

powerport wrote:here are my thoughts for the upcoming season in Div 1

Premiers - Fitzroy (Mr Yap back to lead the charge!)
Wooden Spoon - Rose Park (only because S.Holland will be playing out there)
Player of the Year - Rick Marshall from Para Vista, he can bowl, bat, field, walk the talk, best strut in the game, say no more
Comeback player of the year - Rob O'Gormon - this guy is the Ken McGregor of SACCCA, promised so much but not delivered, may this will be his year from all the fanfare!
Most attractive - Auto of course!
First player to call it quite in season 12/13 - Smasha
biggest shock in carnival team selection - 45 yr old I.Henderson
Best umpire - Anytime George umpires a Para Vista game

anyone else caer to have any awards that i can look in my crystal ball and predict?

I do like the predictions but what about?
Association Coach? Marc cossens
First Player to be Reported? Anyone one of the 11 seaton players
First Player to pull one in on the Carnival? Brett tarca - only thing he will be pulling himself
Best Recruit? Easy one...Goatherder!!!
Luckiest Player in the Comp? Superbad
Most underated?
another easy one - rob O'gormon

Thoughts? I can't wait until game day for this cricket season, get excited!

I did have total respect for you George until now.... Where did I say I'm from knights?? If you put your glasses on I picked mighty fitzroy to win the div 1 flag!! Hint hint?!!!

I'll introduce myself to you, but I won't be playing div 4.. As I assume your reading ability reflects your cricket ability and div 4 sounds like your cup of tea.

Go the Roy's in 12/13

I'm loving your work powerport. But I'm going to beat you to this. With the National Championships on this year, undoubtedly nearly every poster on here will have a stab at their State Squad. No doubt mine will change during the season due to players form and what not, but here is my Squad 'Mark I'

NEK
-Gatty
-Baldo
-Dutchy

Para Vi$ta
-Marc Cossens
-Richard Marshall
-Tarca
-Goat Herder

Rose Park
-Steve Neal
-Paul DeIonno
-Brad Lees
-Rob O'Gorman (capt/coach)

Adel Lutheran
-Jeremy Borgas

Seaton
-Jack Thompson

Fitzroy
-Gligs
-Aaron Rolling

With all the egos, different personalities and love/hate relationships in that squad, they might not produce the results we're looking for but it would make great viewing. :) Possibly there would be a murder by the end of the tour. In fact they should probably get some television crew to follow them around, perhaps put in some chicks with small hips and silicon bits (and maybe a couple of larger ones, for one of the players ;) ) and it would be better viewing than that show Sonia Freddy Kreuger-Face hosts.

Rose Park
-Steve Neal
-Paul DeIonno
-Brad Lees
-Rob O'Gorman (capt/coach).....sideline spirit lifter

Adel Lutheran

Seaton
-Jack Thompson....not really a team player, but not a bad bowler

Fitzroy

NEK PREMIERS 2012/13 HAS A GOOD RING

2 in a row, last year was a total fluke, the Roy's will be back!
Sorry smasha but I think NEK are getting a bit too old, bowlers started to age and slow down especially with the recruitment of dutchy!

Ameretti, Powerport has more in common with hutchy than he does with Fitzies mate. Captain from last year moved interstate, and this year's captain undecided as yet. Will send you a pm when it's announced.
