Now you are the bowler, what do you do.

A) Say F&%k it, throw it up, see the ball sail into another suburb & blame the captain for bowling you too late?
B) Throw a faster one down leg side, get the smartasre out stumped, and brag "I set you up"?
C) Throw a faster one down leg side, goes for 4 byes, then blame the keeper for losing the game by not being awake to your "TRAP"?
D) Fake cramp?
E) Bowl underarm, therefore you can blame "Burnout"?
F) Bowl the only ball you have ever bowled that turned and get an LBW from Russ?
G) Bowl 4 wides in a row and then walk off?

I won't take the 4 because I wouldn't win chasing 300 haha good maths moe man :)

So here is the next census question.

It's hot. Damn Hot. Let's say 45 Degrees in the shade. (Noone from Keswick need to answer, cos you do not play summer games in the heat).

You are batting.
You are facing some young left arm orthodox spinner from the southern end.
You are 94 not out.
You have hit the last 3 balls for massive zac'x out of the ground.
Your team is 9/294 cahsing 300 for victory.
You have one ball left brfore tea.
Did I mention, it is bloody hot?

Do you:
A) Smash the young pr&%k out of the ground, running off with arms & bat in the air yelling "I am the Champions.....My Friend"?
B) Push a single to cover & wait til after tea to cover yourself in glory?
C) Hit a 4, thus winning the game but giving yourself the "Team Before Self" Trophy?
D) Throw your head back, go for 4 in a row & get bowled?
E) Let the next one go through to the keeper like a girl?

first of all moe man if you had hit 3 sixes in a row you would wake up before the last ball and lets be honest you would not be bowling at this stage of the game even if you are president but to answer your qusetion I would push the single

All very good points ab, but in your case, you would not still be batting if we were 9/. In fact you would be on your 7th jagerbomb by then.

If a team is chasing 300 and are 9/296, with a ball to go before tea, you would normally get around 35 overs in by tea, so the run rate would be just over 8 a over, it could only mean one thing.

MOE'S BOWLING FROM THE OTHER END !!!!

17 Overs 0/217.

Just wondering what people thought of the Ian Bell run out situation. Was Dhoni right in withdrawing the appeal? Or should Ian Bell have been given out run out? If you havent seen it watch the clip. Also would Dhoni have withdrawn the appeal if they were playing in Mumbai? Me thinks not. Personally I think it was very admirable that Dhoni did withdraw the appeal as Kumar the fielder acted like the ball had gone for four. Ian Bell may be a complete idiot for not being aware but it was good that sense prevailed and the game is still held in high regard.

completely agree with you caleb. was very glad to see that he withdrew the appeal and the spirit of the game was upheld. and yes it would have been very interesting to see if he were to withdraw the appeal in india... i guess england is seen as a place in the cricket world where the gentlemens game is alive and well? it is good to see old mate M.S. setting a good example though.
