Heard the same thing, only will be after xmas...definately would help Seaford at the moment... Strange considering only a few weeks ago he was content on playing B Grade for the rest of the season, then wanted to play A grade and now wants to go back to Seaford so he can open the batting ](*,)

Why wont they clear him for this weekend? The only thing i could think of is if he owes some $$$. Surely if he paid it they would clear him or are they just worried that he would make runs against them on the weekend??? Im backing that he would show junior why he is better than batting 7

I dont think it was a matter of not clearing him, i think Junior persuaded him to play the last game before xmas then giving him time to decide during the break want he wants to do.[/quote

Chris must have been lost last night then because he was training for seaford not the shoes!!! And shouldnt junior be the one to make the decision weather he bats higher than 6 or plays for seaford!!!!

played his 1st game for the year on saturday in the b grade.
he got 5/30 off 15 overs without training.
has been working every saturday this year.

lets just say there was a 'lukewarm' reception at the club on the weekend 8) 8) 8)

Everyone seemed rapt with it Smithy. Seems a certain goer on an annual basis from now on.
Matches played in a top spirit. Port beat Kangy in final. Shoes eliminated by Kangy in a close one in first round.

from Southern's Website

"Port Noarlunga took out the inaugural T20 Smash title by defeating Kangarilla in the final match of the elimination tournament on Sunday. The match featured Stingrays captain Simon Roberts (Kangarilla) and T20 skipper Shaun Tanner (Port) and saw Port Noarlunga chase the very competitive 131 required for victory with an over to spare. Port collected the $500 winners cheque after also beating Seaford and Flagstaff Hill during the opening rounds. Kangarilla made the final by easily accounting for Noarlunga and the Stingrays combined C/D grade side. Games were played in good spirit and SDCC hopes to make the event an annual event on the Southern Cricket calendar.

Other Stingray players returning to their club of origin to bolster those sides included Sean McIvor (Seaford), Brenton Maiolo (Reynella), Pat Jolly (Morphett vale), Josh Barrett (Flagstaff Hill).

Southern District thanks President Harvey Jolly who planned the event, well supported by his army of volunteer Stingrays"

It would appear Reynella must have been beaten by Southern's combined C/D grade team.

As long as Scotty Heywood or Jas Riley didn't print the money it should all be legal tender then. :D

Well done to SDCC on a great initiative, hopefully it will remain an annual event.
