wow, you vista boys will take any win you can wont you......must be devine intervention. I hear you guys pray b4 ever game

9 in a row was a good effort though, exceptional even!!!.....i cant believe u r claimin 9 with a washout in between. Most people would be happy if you described it as 2 in a row....washout....6 in a row

did vista lose 8 in a row prior to their shallow premiership last year? were do u guys get your stocks from....seems you have been the top team for the last 20 years!!! (until Fitzroy)

LMAO! Harry Potter..

It was 7 in a row, plus the precipitation-effected premiership at the end makes 8.. :P As for stocks, I dunno to be honest. A lot of lads went to school together in the area over the years. Word of mouth. mates getting mates to come out and play, and they stay coz it's a good place to play cricket. They even fully adopted a born & bred Port Adelaide boy into their Club, so they must be good blokes.. ;)

Although I was lucky not to be ousted after my first season during the premiership celebrations at The Maloney residence. Very, very annebriated at about midnight, I accidentally spilt my drink on skipper Tscharke's heavily pregnant wife, the lovely Cathy. Tscharks said, "Hey, don't you go damaging my wife!", to which I drunkenly slurred, "I don't think I can do any more damage to her than what you've already done!"..  It's fair to say my humour wasn't fully appreciated back then.. haha!

Thats a funny story!
Remember playing against Tscharkey. Used to take forever to face his first ball. Very frustrating! Used to hang around like a bad smell and generally make lots of runs!

Different comp. then though. Lots of old grade players

Isnt his daughter dating Bryce Gibbs?? hubba hubba

The Dollings were just as bad at times as Tsharkey was and yes all pests to get rid of too once they got set.

Is Jon McKenzie still playing. All i can remember from him is hearing him chirping 'No Idea' all day. Was great when it was his turn to bat and got out cheaply.
He is still playing
Still chirping "no idea" all day, but mostly refering to himself.....

Bryce Gibbs now?? I see she's working her way up the ranks then, she used to date Adam Thomson, who's now been traded to Richmond from The Power and meets Gibbsy's Carlton in Round 1. ;)

Para Vista are quality but its hard to look past Fiztroy who keep performing and look like they will peak at just the right time..

Vistas batting lineup is longer than the alphabet but Fitzroy can roll them if everything comes together on the day.

Im not going to embarass myself by trying to pick a winner..

dont even joke about the sprinklers, the council seem to be using them most friday nights and the amount of times we have been out there sweeping water off the pitch at the jail end is getting ridiculous.

you better have some decent sledges, i wanna have a laugh while im out there!

i think we have a few coming in from last game, but wont really know till tonight.

The game will be close too.

Hope Hasslehoff and Spears are good fielders. Our fielding last week was a schamozzle.

My predictions are: Auto to open the bowling
Auto taken off after one over
Bloodybouncer to make a duck

Might be a bit hard Pidge, think im batting at 7 or 8 or 9 or something. Best batting line-up weve had for a while. I might have to bat with you Pidge, so make sure you can keep up with me between the wickets.
