Actually swap Noel Craig for Goat Herder, that blokes posts just make me sick! Always so diplomatic and serious, acts like he is some sort of church cricket Robin Hood or something! And he has his boyfriend little john (carey) always there to pat him on his back and tell him how wonderfull he is and give him man love

Haha! Rocky ya unbalanced, schitzophrenic SOB, how are ya? It's truly an honour to scrape into your Top 5. Subsequently, I decided to celebrate the achievement by compiling a limerick dedicated to you......it's the least I could do. ;)

There once was a schitzoid called Rock Star,
Who's head was contained in his sphinctar (sic),
He'd get on the pi$$, and he'd slur and he'd hiss,
And carry on like a right Wayne Carr.

Whoops, that's not very diplomatic... :P

Not a bad squad on paper got a couple of questions though:

1. Did Stanford just rock up to training again to get a gig in this squad? Plenty of better players in the comp than this kid!

2. Was there nobody good enough in Div 1 to captain the side or is it just a given Holland does it every year?

Feel free to fire up but just asking legitimate questions ;)

I think you will find that the association has a youth policy in place after the cancellation of the under 23 game. I believe the are picking young guys over more experienced players.

Pies i'll reply no need to fire up but on the points you make 1. yes sandford did rock up to training. Did these 'better' players you speak of rock up? NO they didn't.

Look i agree his 'numbers' are not great this year but as DKL just pointed out there is some youth getting a crack as the ass. is looking towards the carnival played on turf at the end of this year. Sanford also opened the batting very well in a carnival already and also in the 21's on turf last year.

Point 2 i cant give you the reason Holland is captain but he was choosen as skipper do you expect him to say NO???

His numbers this year are good, His been a long term Capt and is an All Australian at Carnival level. I believe there is only 1 other Capt. in the squad (could be wrong) and he is V/C

Maybe you should put your hand up to skipper mate???

Why do you just have to rock up to training to get a gig in the squad? What happened to the coach ringing players and inviting them out or persuading them to play/represent their association. You reckon Football teams who pick Rep sides just organise a 'come and try' day? NO they hand pick a squad to pick from!

Why do you have to be captain of your club to captain the rep side? Andrew McLeod was captain of an All Australian team yet never captained the Crows. Reidy, McDonald & Hodson could all do the job...like I said just asking the question son :)

who cares who is captain and who isnt....decision made .
as to rocking up to training and get a gig...get a life mate.
if more people turn up to these trainings (myself included) then it would be who ever is better would be picked.
bit hard to say no your not playing to anyone who turns up as maybe only had 13 players to choose from.
pull ya heads in and put your bloody hands up yourselves.
holland has proven his captaincy, and gets respect from all players in the side.
reasonable side , atca are strong , they may belt churches but at least these 13 players are having a go . better than a forfeit I would have thought.
before you bag a side , at least play a game of assoc cricket ya tools......smasha will keep on truckin ... ;)
good luck guys.
