Our secretary is happy to discuss with Ramblers the possibilty about a twilight 20/20 match on a Friday night.
We are happy to work with Ramblers in any way to make it a financial gain for both.

Yes Plympton playing Western Youth Centre at Plympton oval at 12.30...should be a good game.... Plympton have a decent side, with a good mixture of youth and senior players.

I believe that we will already be on the 3rd day of the new year as well "woodubelieve12"...lol

Bulldogs007 isnt it 12 we start??

Looking forward to the day and a good feed put on by the plympton boys after the game!

WYC should be able to get most normal t20 players, but may have a couple changes!!

I spoke with Jadd yesterday and it was originally a 12 30 start but it is now a 12 00noon start. So don't be late WUB12.

Yes sorry kids, 12noon start...

By the way, just for the record, i'm all for no other matches being played on dates where association matches are fixtured, regardless of whether you side has 10 possible selections in that side, or none. BUT association matches need to be scheduled at the start of the year so sides can work around it...

I was planning some sort of 'extravaganza' for our match but now its going to be just a cricket match due to lack of time to organise something, and there are other clubs also in the same boat i believe.

I think with t20 in its second year its gaining momentum and little issues are being ironed out each year, i think within 2 years we'll have a strong t20 comp, maybe even 2 divisions, like a section 1 div, and a 'rest of the comp' div or something like that.

Just returned home from T20 game between Plympton & WYC.
WYC 163
Plympton 6/90 off 15.3 when i left.
3 things.
Barmaids at Plympton are beautiful, well done Slime.
Roast beef & lamb sandwiches, beautiful, well done slime.
Andrew Wright, please remember a good umpire is one who goes unoticed. Your decision to dock WYC 5 runs was petty to say the least. They are men playing in the cauldron of competition. What was said was not audible to the crowd, so should have been left alone.

P.S. A few of the WYC boys look like they have over indulged on the Chrissy break ;)

was also at the game today. WYC definately look the team to beat in the T20 comp. Have enough hitters in the top 7 to make big totals and a decent bowling attack to back them up. Ben McCormack batted well and I never thought Plympton were in the game to be honest.

HAHA il aim this at Bloods and Hopkins
We batted extremely well although didnt finish off as we would like to today!

I bowled a lot of people, and gave pretty much everyone a chance as we realised we had won it early on so thought it was best for everyone to be involved. A very good game by our boys and a lot of fun.

According to A.Wright (our umpire for the game  ) he gave the 5 runs against D.Whenan for swearing after an "official warning". Pity the official warning did not go through the captain at the time i would say!

Well done to Plympton for providing the swiss taste in the bar staff ... WOW. GOod luck this weekend lads and hopefully Clapham and some other upsets can get up in the t20 comp ;)
