Does the PDCA need to offer some sort of incentive to play? any ideas and thoughts to discuss.

Believe assoc games will be around Feb

I have heard that the ATCA are playing their first game on the 3rd of Feb v PDCA on hard wicket so assuming at one of your grounds. Their second game is also on hard wicket. Might not encourage alot of the ATCA guys to play knowing it's on hard wicket. Will be interesting to see who plays and I doubt a visit to adelaide Oval for the ATCA

Westies chased down 161 fairly easily, with the help of a heap of dropped catches!
ATCO chased down CU's total with a couple of wickets in hand.

By my early calculations R&C will move into 3rd spot barely ahead of the units and miles behind SW & OTH, whilst ATCO now move out of the relegation zone, replaced my AV.

Some belter games this round with R&C playing AV, SW v OTH, Craigmore tackle the units and VIR will be lurking for their 1st win against a revitalised ATCO..

A.Ashley.. Can bat too. He is a leg spinner... I think anyone can roll the arm over and bowl off spin! And no offense to PG he knows I love him.

It's amazing actually how often this discussion comes up. Adam is a quality leg spinner - arguably the hardest craft to master, and i have no doubt that he would be the #1 spinner at any other club, unfortunately for him at the moment, although he is performing in the B grade, i dont think i've done too much wrong in the A grade so it's a tough position.

Do you drop me to reward his efforts or take the gamble and play two spinners which would most likely limit both players bowling opportunities in an already set bowling line up?

He will no doubt have his chance soon, and im sure he will have great success..

Stats while at R&C:

A. Ashley - 588 runs @ 15.08, H/S 51, 59 wickets @ 19.24, B/B 5/21
M. Bedgegood - 879 runs @ 18.70, H/S 58, 124 wickets @ 17.00, B/B 5/30..

and he bats top 4, i bat 10 :P
