Good way to finish the year - Ramblers got up for an outright against Westminster.

Gutsy digs by Visser & Apthomas (spelling?) from Westminster and was impressed to see they really went for it to set us a target and go for the outright themselves.

Ramblers had 141 to chase off 28 overs - did it 4 down with about 6 overs to spare. AF with 50s in both innings + 3 wickets today, Calderbank with 9 wickets for the game.

How did the other teams go?

Tough day for Morphies out at North Haven but happy to get away with the W. They chased very well to only fall 50 odd short with about 14 overs still to go. Fair chance there will be a lot of fielding practise for the boys the first day back.

We made the runs in the 17th, so that would make it 11 overs to go. Westminster will need to find some bowlers to support McRae if they no longer have the services of the Murphy boys. They need players in the Bs too, given our Bs rolled them for 26 yesterday!! From 1/13 they lost 9/13 - the biggest collapse I can recall in ASCA.

Good win by our guys yesterday passed them 5 down and had a bit of a slap to have a go at some more points that was squashed very quickly by some very good hitting from the bays.

The top 4 are going to be hard to catch as there is already such a gap between 4th and 5th.

Good point. My suggestion, WYC boys really enjoy the xmas break, maybe even rest a few (Hoppy, Press, even yourself) for round 7 just to get over any niggles before the run to the finals. Perhaps promote Booney as well, for stability ;)
Maybe Keswick, ANA & Ramblers could do the same.
I might have to sit out the rest of the season myself

I don't think we wil be doing that anytime soon Moe.

Keep trying though :D . Looking forward to playing at Morphies next year i haven't played there for a few years. The last game i played there we had Robbie Wells and Mick Mckay run into each other and consequently dropped the 10th wicket catch and we lost :( .

When are people planning on playing their T20's? The 10th and 17th of Jan is out of the question due to association games.

We are hoping to be playing ours on the 3rd Vs Plympton.

Doesn't matter T20 rules state the games are not to be played on a day when an association game is on.
