Unsure what oyu think of Rechabites/AHOS game, predicted Rechabits to both lose and win. Some confirmation would be appreciated.

Matheson Reserve looked waterlogged about 10:20 this morning and I was not holding up much chance of playing on it tomorrow. Hopefully someone did osme work on the pitch after/if it dried out but looked quite unrpomising.

Nothing wrong with Matheson.. wouldn't be afraid of batting 1st tomorrow.

Excellent that is great news. Centre square was waterlogged at 10:20 this morning, glad a bit sunshine has helped clear it up. too much cricket called offi n recent years when play is able to occur, hoping this season will not be similar.

So what were your thoughts on the wicket rainbow?

We played on it and cannot complain. Was glad to get a game in. Outside the square a little soft, which wasnt a problem but was what I based my thoughts on on Friday, and deck didnt suit my bowling, seemed to come on to the bat a bit too easy rather than the slower blokes (could be a convenient excuse for my shit figures for the day) but cannot complain at all. Was a good day. Had them 5/120 at tea and they did well to get to 215 from there. Will be a good game next week. Well done to the curator, he definitely did a good job getting it up. Was flat as a highway at the end of the day.

Just want to say too Rechabites afternoon tea was amazing, and their showers were best in the comp temperature wise too. Good stuff.

Good to Wizard of Oz and family there for a browse too.

Sorry Azza, have not had a look was in the Woodville area this morning so looked at the ground I was playing on but I am not surprised as B grade were todl any more rain after training Thursday and it would be extremely doubtful.

Surely that after a day and a half of sunshine the decision could've been left until the morning of the game.

Not for me to say mate, not sure of hte situation.

PAOC vs Marion: Not too difficult this one. Prince Alfred has been strong for some time, and like I have said earlier, Marion were lucky last season. Princes at a canter.

Pembroke vs Goodwood: With the loss of Martin being a big one to cover, Goodwood will take time to find their feet, however I expect them to account for Pembroke easily.

Payneham vs Grange: Toughest of the round, and would definitely be an interesting one to watch while digesting a cheese and vegemite roll. Grange in a tight one.

Pultney vs Brighton: Brighton have too much talent across the board. This may be the first outright of the season.

Woodville Rech. vs AHOS: With the money it takes to get Woody Rech on the park each Saturday, it will be an expensive loss. Duffett once again will carry this team on his broad, stocky shoulders. Woodville Rech to win.

So there it is, basically comes down to which team wants more coin in that particular week, big phone bill, better make some runs.

And it looks like there is a man city in a3 also, buying that flag (20k, how farsicle) sure to be supporting whoever is playing hope valley.

I wouldn't be suprised, although when para hills were 5/**** all their batsmen were swinging from outside off tryin to hit mid wicket area and then sledging on their way off. Classy outfit. Pooraka not known for thier good behavior but a massive focus this year to do alot better in the spirit of cricket award. Mind you, your always coming off second best with Rocco! Especially when he was smashing the bowlers around like he was. Maybe the para hills player should sledge when winning, might turn out better for him next time.

Wasn’t it fantastic to see everyone in whites over the weekend, and I swear that the red ball sounds that much crisper off the willow! I bussed my way to Ingle farm over the weekend, I definitely won’t be there this weekend, it won’t be a close game.

It was attritional batting day for Unley, 40 odd off of 30 overs, with my man of the match, "Rosco", stepping up and holding the team together while their number 3 scored a 150 give or take, at some stage looking like an axe wielding lumberjack. Without "Rosco" there, I could see it all falling apart, cool head under pressure, batted within himself.

Worst player on the ground, well, hard to pick one, so I have selected joint winners,

Anyone in an ingle farm cap, you can’t win a game with the first innings, but you can lose one, they completed exactly that. 80+ run win to Unley this weekend.

Seen as this game is all but over, is anyone aware of a game that looks like a close finish that I can pop along to? make sure it is on a bus route.

Heard reports that a POOraka batsman/tailender was visibly unhappy with his batting position, and apparently didn't partake in the warm up. I wonder if that happy team portrait still exists OKC??
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

I would be unhappy to if I was him everyone wants to contribute as much as they can, In fact I'm unhappy with my batting position too, but in reality there is no one above me that doesnt deserve to be there. He will get over it like I have, we realise that we have to make sacrifices in order to try and win a premiership. Nothing wrong with showing a bit of disappointment. Just have to see how he goes as the season progresses. Still a happy family :)

Why do Gepps Cross have a longer season? This is unfair to all of the other sides in the division? Surely someone should notify the league?

Unless the league have done a handicap type structure so rubbish sides get extra games? How would they rank each team? On previous averages? Potential? So many variables, I think this is a huge mistake by the league.

Any truth to the rumour that one of trinity's huge recruits is destined for greatness this year? I'm talking about jarryd furnell. I'm talking 50+ poles, 400+ runs and a flag?
