I'm interested to hear what people have to say about the man? In my opinion he is the man ASCA no longer needs.
I just read a very interesting article on the Ramblers website from their annual edition of the 'declaration'. In his A grade season report he blabbed on about how sporting they are and that Coromandel have poor standards and WYC are "a disgrace to ASCA".

If anybody is bored and wants a laugh download the file and have a read. Some may say that I'm stooping to his level...*EDITED BY MODS*

Look forward to a few replies from the Ramblers boys but I get the feeling he is not popular with many in the comp!!

On a positive note, looking forward to training tonight!! Season 11-12 is almost here :)

Interesting while JC continues to get spoken about, I believe that it is very unfair for people to get on these forums and personally attack a person that you people do not even know anything about. I personally know JC, I know that he plays the game very hard, but also fair. I know the games that he refered to on his captains report at the end of season presentation night, and if you read into it he is telling his members how proud he was as a captain of his team and how they conducted itself on those given days. The umpires of both of these games came up afterwards and commended his teams attitude and demeanour in both of these games. I believe that he has done nothing wrong here and has not named any names as you are, dropping his on this forum and I think that this at times seems very slanderous. Maybe it is the ones on the forum dropping names that should look in the mirror.

How proud he is of his side as captain. That is humerous after hearing what i heard out of the man's mouth in the semi final.

Probably there has been so much said and here we are still deep in the winter months. How about just get on with your seasons preparations and have a great year. Personal attacks can be used in the field of battle in about three months time!! Everyone get ready for a great season.

Archie that would mean the off season is so boring.

You are right though that is where it all matters not on here. This is just something to pass the time :D :D

Yes, lets change the subject.
I think we all know which way we are voting on the proposals at the next meeting I take it.
What I would like from the ASCA committee is a draw as early as possible. Morphies have some big functions planned this season and it would be good to map out a social calendar early. Yep, thats right, I am more concerned about having a party than playing (thats the Morphies way  ).
It would be good to know when & where the first David Lee Cup will be played against WYC (the disgraces ;) ).

Partake if you will in a lighthearted Census on the ASCA:

Best Oval: Morphies
Best Clubrooms: Morphies
Best Afternoon Tea: Morphies
Worst Oval: Belair, especially when they slug you $ to get in!
Team you most like to beat: Keswick, Plympton.
Player you would steal from another club: Darren Thomas
Best Umpire: Russ.
Worst Umpire: The square leg guys from the opposition
Add some more.

Lighten this thread up for a change.

Ok. Good Response.
So here is the next census question.

It's hot. Damn Hot. Let's say 45 Degrees in the shade. (Noone from Keswick need to answer, cos you do not play summer games in the heat).

You are batting.
You are facing some young left arm orthodox spinner from the southern end.
You are 94 not out.
You have hit the last 3 balls for massive zac'x out of the ground.
Your team is 9/296 cahsing 300 for victory.
You have one ball left brfore tea.
Did I mention, it is bloody hot?

Do you:
A) Smash the young pr&%k out of the ground, running off with arms & bat in the air yelling "I am the Champions.....My Friend"?
B) Push a single to cover & wait til after tea to cover yourself in glory?
C) Hit a 4, thus winning the game but giving yourself the "Team Before Self" Trophy?
D) Throw your head back, go for 4 in a row & get bowled?
E) Let the next one go through to the keeper like a girl?
