Well it didnt get thru. I dont think the presidents wording or description helped it one bit.
I think WYCBloods now being an executive member will help them next year bring it in. IMO i think its a great concept, but i completely see where ur coming from Bazza.

Yes booney, it was selfish by you, but those that know you, wuldnt expect it any other way. ;)

Westsider, thanks for YOU nominating to do the tips. I wont be able to do it all the time so im sure u can :) but if you are in need of maybe doing every second game we could work something out.
Are we going to do all sections of tipping? I think it would be better, gives some interest to the lower sections, then everyone will have an advantage (eg: booney in sec 5 will have a greater knowledge what we wont have. whereas Bazza will no more on sec 1). So each week, tips to be out of 36 or thereabouts.

Could be a bit of fun, and maybe we could organise a prize or something for the winner. Well done to booney and thanks for nominating. Great to have people like you around

Also, ICC's stuff, DIDNT GET THROUGH, sheidow's DIDNT GET THROUGH. Interesting to note that Keswick barely voted on any issues despite having 5 people there. Any reason for this? I think they only voted on 3 motions or thereabouts.

We only abstained on 2 motions i think. The reporting late starts and the appropriate clothing one. IE: Ones we thought were 'unimportant' and would get through regardless. They were also the ones that required captains 'potentially' to do more work.

I think WYCBloods will be good on the exec. I like his ideas. I will be nominating him for association president next season, heh.

The new Adelaide Indians were well represented and look organised. The new Southern team didnt front.

Im not sure we need to do all the grades?

CK, we only have teams in 4 grades, what will we know about Div 3/4?

I think Section 1 only.

Makes Westies job easier too.

As for the prize, how about $10 each and winner takes all?

The new southern side not turning up was a bit of a joke. Good to see the Adelaide Indians organised and represented well. They will be good for the competition and good for their culture to have their own side. Section 2 may be a little high for them IMHO but we will have to wait and see.

Various clubs

Keswick and WYC seem to have contributed the most players at this stage.

Set this up last year Sarge, TTJ and myself all worked out player prices and we had 33 teams in it by memory good fun the first couple of weeks its all everyone talked about "Get me some points!". Everyone seemed to lose interest after a while couldnt trade players or do the whole dream team player prices rise that and I won it by a streets length :D Will do it again though and its worth a try alot of the old guys got into the most at our club good fun for everyone.

Just wanted to say congrats to AF on becoming the Ramblers new president. The club's in very good hands.

To quash the rumours of me taking over Cricket Australia's CEO job from James Sutherland, they're not true, I've now taken on the more important role of Ramblers BBQ man. "Get your sausages, all you can eat for only $5!".

Pity about the 1-day motion not getting through, really liked that one. Was it close? Good to hear the heat policy remains unchanged. Did many vote in favour of going back(wards) to it? Forfeit system was neither here nor there for mine, could be ok with more refinement.

The one day motion was about 4 votes off getting through. The funniest part of that was Coromandel player Darren Cheek sent a rather stinging email during the week saying the association executive is too backwards and set in their ways to allow something like that to get through and not only did he not turn up to vote his club had 5 people there to vote and they all voted against it. Maybe if he spent more time getting his thoughts across to his own club and not taking cheap shots at others it would've got through.

The first motion for the heat policy had 2 people vote for it, despite ICC having 3 votes present for the night and the one to give the executive the power to tell people to play had the 3 ICC delegates vote for it and every one else was against it on both occasions.

Sheidows motion will get through with a little refinement as it has some valid parts. Penalising the whole club for a forfeit whilst a good idea in a perfect world isn't fair IMO to penalise the whole club if they make a genuine attempt to avoid the forfeit. If it was just about giving the opposition an extra point, to compensate for the potential quotient lost, i think it may have gone through.

Correct, will be a turning point for the Ramblers. Mind you, not sure congratulations are in order. All you need to do is show some interest during nominations and you're in. Would think it's like that at most clubs. When did your club last have two people wanting the same position on the comittee - can't recall it ever for us.

No suprises with this one. They couldn't get their act together in the SCA, hardly turned up to delegates meetings, didn't pay fees or fines. South Coasters is just O'Sullivan's Beach re-badged.

Does this mean that they are in or out of Adelaide Suburban??

The executive will have the power to still admit them but they have got 2 weeks to prove to them that they are organised and ready to go.

Bloods, the one day thing was 1, and yes i mean 1 vote, away from getting in.

I told u that writing down how many voted for each motion would come in handy one day ;)

I thought it was more then 2 Gowser, swear it was the first 3 or 4 things that u didnt vote on, plus a couple later on aswell. Anyways, means nothing now.

Cant wait for the cricket season, its getting close.
