Awesome effort by Smithfield on the weekend... PG would be shattered not being able to defend that.

GRADE 1 TABLE
Angle Vale 48.97
Rose & Crown 40.11
Salisbury West 39.00
One Tree Hill 20.09

Smithfield 20.06
Central United 19.94
Parafield Gardens 11.33
Virginia 10.91

ROUND 4
Central United vs Virginia:
This could be a danger game for Central United, Virginia are kown to pull a win out when you least expect it and the Units have really pushed two undefeated sides. It would be disappointing to see them waste their efforts by taking their foot off the pedal.
Excellent effort by Bradley Woodward to be able score against one of the better attacks and to dismiss Westies for 143 is not to be taken lightly either.
On the other hand, every time Virginia lose it means they are one game closer to a win, with the experience and talent they have in their side anything is possible.
One Tree Hill vs Parafield Gardens:
Despite not travelling great atm the Billiegoats remain in the top 4, this will be something that will give them the inspiration to notch a win and stay in the race.
Playing on the slow McGlip Oval will find the going tougher for the Gardens and the Goats have the advantage of facing the strong Angle Vale bowling attack last week, things will be a little easier for them this week.
Angle Vale vs Smithfield:
Smithfield go into this game with some momentum and fond memories of the school oval from last season. Angle Vale are the form team of the comp atm and will be keen to avenge their defeat from last season. Angle Vale seem stronger on paper than what they were last season, Smithfield haven't been able to field a full strength side yet this season.
If Smithfield can weather the storm early they might just have the batting depth to build a decent score, they should welcome a couple of bowlers into their team this week.
Salisbury West vs Rose & Crown:
A handy "in" for Rosies this week will give them some inspiration, a scare for Westies last week will wake them up a little and ensure they don't become complacent.
Having seen both teams first hand already this season says that Westies have that bit more fire-power yet Rosies keep doing enough to stay in the winners circle. Rosies don't get ahead of themselves though and bat with patience, this all leads up to be a ding dong match of the round battle.

Does anyone know of any clubs/competitions that play on Sundays?
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

Nah mate, on the contrary.. have had some people ringing up the club asking if we play a sunday competition. Am interested, for future reference, if any competitions play Sundays anymore.

Why dont the Juniors in PDCA play Sundays instead of Friday Nights & Saturday Mornings?

It was proposed and rejected, I guess eveeryone wants Sundays free, it's reserved for association trials etc. aswell.

I think you have a tad more depth than Craigmore, player for player you offer a bit more. They have better individuals, you have a better all-round side IMO.
