JB, at what point does a 21 year old realise he's not under 21 anymore? I guess they've got some dodgey rule that you qualify at the start of the season or something.

Our young blokes wouldn't know about this training, so let me know if you are struggling for numbers.

AF i think if you turn 21 after september the 1st u still qualify...i think Skinny and tucky have their side in their heads depending on training, sheidow and western youth to have a vast majority with their younger 'a'grade sides at present..
wat blokes do u have under 21 at the moment?? im pretty sure skinny let everyone club know so someone from the ramblers should have invited a couple of your younger fellas out!

It was also good on the weekend to have a consistent umpiring display for the whole 75 overs. He didn't have many decisions to make but i think both sides will agree he got them all right =D> . I wish that would happen more often :) .

Our only worry was over-hearing our umpire say if he was a betting man he'd be backing Plympton next week. He didn't realise one of our blokes heard it at the time. I don't think it's in the umpires handbook to say which team you reckon will win next week. Guess we'd better keep our pads out of the way and hit everything out of the middle!

Our side has 3 u21s with a couple of decent players in B's too. From what I've seen of u21 sides there are always 4 or 5 good A grade players then some guys to fill in the numbers. If that's the case again then we should have had 1 or 2 in there. I haven't seen the side, just know our boys don't know about it, which in part may because we haven't had representation at meetings apart from Bubbles for a while, but also that the email notice only came out Sunday night.

I know we may have up to 5 players in the side that are all playing section 1 currently. Sheidow have a 4 or 5 as well in section 1, Sth Rd have 1 that will probably make the side Nth Haven may have up to 3 so i think the side will be very strong but it would be great to see other clubs have a more active participation in the U/21's as it hasn't been too well supported in the past. Hopefully the guys training together(and being watched by tucky) will make for the best possible 11/12 players available to play, picked. Hopefully they don't do what the side of the last few years has done and that is lose because of a last wicket partnership.

Well done to Sarge and Hoppy on 2 magnificant innings. I'm sure rob will be stoked, i think that 197 just gets him up over the 200 mark for the year!

hoppy has made just over 200 but the fact is, he batted first game made 3 not out and we won, batted second game and got out for 3. third game didn bat first innings and made 15 or so off around 8 balls when we were chasing 8 an over. it was his second proper hit, the first he made 3 against sheidow! im confident he will back it up throughout the year and make another one!

Thankyou for informing me of all of Robs knocks for the yr! Rob will be the first to admit he nearly had more wickets than runs. you have batted well for him though. red ink. mind you, if he takes more wickets than runs this yr......
