I think ICC altho have not been tested this year are the side to beat, i think there bowlers are the best in the comp and if they are making in excess of 180 i dont think they will lose any games. However if Keswicks in form batsman get going i wouldn put it past keswick to get a win because the 'iffy' nature of ICC's batting. maybe Kurt Mckinley is the key to keswick and how far they go this year? i think WYC in a close one with Coro, Westminster of sheidow, south road, the ramblers and glenelg ANA.
ps: prediction of the round: JB to follow up his ton with a duck

thats at short odds too

Good to see the association found enough umpires to accomodate section 1 games with Neil (the best umpire in the comp IMO) Stallard  umpiring division 3 game of belair! Good luck to all sides tomorow and may you all results fall western youth's way :D

Mick Dibben is a new umpire to comp (been out for several years?).... very good IMO also. Calderbank would agree with me after almost achieving a hatrick of LBWs v Coromandel......

Hay AF has dibbs bought a pair of black slacks yet or does he still umpire in his daggy track pants with the red stripe down the side. I love a good Mick Dibben story tho just ask him how he went when he dropped me and took my spot for the D grade finals when i was a junior got a rank slow short ball first ball of the innings and well guess where this is going haha :D

I think anyone who has currently played Coromandel will be quietly hoping they do very, very well from now-on.

Highly unlikely to make the finals with 1pt after 3 games, but if they've got some new talent, they're like to have a say in how its shaped.

I think that is the case with anyone who gets a outright win this early in the year RB. You certainly hope they don't allow another side that you are fighting for a finals spot with will get an outright and it is great when they fall to one of the lower sides.

President trumps secretary!

He's got me in runs so far this season, but I'm ahead in bowling. All a bit of good old fashioned inter-club rivalry to get the competitve juices going!

Edit: can't speel

Just a congratulations to Robert Hopkins on making a massive 197 ( 9x6's and 18x4's) possibly 201 as one boundary missed and think its too him! Western youth bowled out with a couple balls to spare in the 75th over making a total of 339. robbie batted extremely well on a pitch that is ridicolously incosistent and one that holds up extremley slow. it was a pitch that you never felt 'in' on and even Robbie felt this himself. Definitely the best knock iv seen as Coromandels pitch is without doubt a bowlers bitch, and is Robbie's first hundred for the Club. Congrats to the Sarge on his hundred. Not sure what he made in the end but last heard he was 122 not out. Good to see him back

Well I guess if you're gonna make your first hundred you my as well make it a good one. Surprised it's his first. But still, even night watchman at the Ramblers make hundreds

Rambers bowled out Plympton in last over of the day for 177 on a slowish Joans Pantry oval. A few dropped catches late gave them a few extra runs. Habib batted....and batted......and batted....and batted...for about 72 overs for 60 or so runs. Never seen a bloke pick out the fielders so well. With any luck the council will cut the grass and a solid batting display will see us home.
