Ramblers made 215 against keswick today. Haussen top scored with 39 in a very even effort from all the batters. Some stupid shots cost us in the end. Rusty bowled well and the youngster krieg also bowled well at the start.

Looks like the top 3 are settled now, glenelg in the balance against wos tho, 1 down chasing 160 wont be easy. coro could come from 6th into fourth after lourens went nuts. 11 wickets in a day just goes to show hes the best bowler in the comp. sitll gonna tip glenelg to get up tho. wat a fall from grace for cove tho, 1st to out of the four in 3 games.

Wyc still have to get up mate for us to be settled in the four.

I think although glenelg will get up coro are guaranteed finals cause their quotient.... Icc v coro at Icc (coro won the game during the year) and ramblers v western youth (ramblers won the first game of the year)...

What a load of crap! Sampson, Verral, Lucky, Kinnear for starters i would rate higher than him...majority of wickets are batsmen getting themsleves out rather than great bowling

those bowlers are very very good bowlers... but to say that its 'a load of crap' doesnt hold a lot of merit seeing as though he has taken 52 wickets with a better average and strike rate than each of those bowlers you have mentioned... as for batsmen getting themselves out rather than good bowling, if you have a look at his wickets you will find a very high percentage of them are bowled, LBW or caught behind... but hey everyone is entitled to their opinion

Caleb expressed his opinion chewbacka hardly a crime worth hanging.

In your opinion there are better bowlers and you may be right. However having won two association bowling trophies in a row it is fair to say he is the best performed bowler in the last two years.

I do agree than many players get themselves out but as soty stated he gets a high percentage of his wickets by beating the batsmen woth lbw's or bowled dismissals.

Lourens is miles in front of those blokes Chewwy. Moves the ball both ways, gets movement in the air one way and off the deck the other way, bowls long spells and is a lefty. Sambo = leg side n short. Verral = straight up n down, Kinnear = leg side and only good for 4-5 overs, Lucky is the only one who gets close from your selection. Lourens has the benefit of bowling on a bowlers paradise every 2nd game tho.

Interested to see what the opening bats on these forums think.

WHAT A DAY YESTERDAY WAS. WON THE TOSS, BAT 1st, be 0/99 @ drinks. 4/200 odd at tea. 5/260 off 50 overs. Broke our previous best of 390 in the 70th over. 71st or 72nd over went past the magical 400.
Now for most people who have ever played at WYC you would think that the easter side houses would take a battering, but yesterday it was marion rd's turn. I cant recall a game where more balls went onto marion rd, even one seemed to find it was down to the traffic lights after taking a joy ride towards the car wash. :D
We did witness Scott Luders at his best, even though he only made 36, we did see a MASSIVE 6 which hit a passing red falcon and leave a nice dent on his bonnet. the other 6 wouldve landed in the backyard of the house on marion rd, if it wasnt for some power lines taking the force.
Jake Whenan rewound the clock back to days of old with some blistering shots. Matt King continued on his merry way. He reached 50 in the 14th over. Brad christie was ever so reliable for his solid 2, rough lbw though never the less.
Rob was outstanding in his knock. timed the ball to perfection. was given a life in the 30's and made the most of it. Well Done Hoppy.
Mark in his 150th game hit 37 and played some great leg side flicks. He also ran a couple of 3's.
Feebs and callum battered really well for their 23 and 10no, they both showed glimpses of their best yesterday.
A.Stribley bowled well for his 4 wickets even though he did get his around, he persisted and persisted.
Anyone from cove know y Comer didnt bowl?
CHEERS FOR THE SPREAD OF FOOD YESTERDAY LADIES! I KNOW WYC AND COVE APPRECIATED IT. cheers also for the Cove lads for sticking round for a chat and few beers after the game. Thats what should be done after each week of cricket.

I would have to say Hopkins would be a fair bit infront BMAC. Not only cause he is from WYC, but our four wins before christmas, he was our best player in each game. 12 votes there. Plus the glenelg game, (3votes), plympton (1or2) and this game (3votes), you would think so. He would be on 19/20 votes.

Lourens now has 3 x 10 wicket hauls, so it only leaves him with 20 wickets in 8 games. So to have 9 from 3 games, he would need 11/12 votes to be ahead of Robbie from the other 8 games where he took 20 wickets. Can't see it happening.

Smith, verral, Sampson, Rowe, may, all a chance to round out top 3.

Helps when we have had Hopkins and Todd Roberts opening the bowling for numerous years.

Amazing little stat that people probably won't believe, is in that 419, not one ball wasn't hit into the houses.

I open the batting and would have to say Lourens is the best bowler i faced this year by a mile then i would rate Stanley from ramblers a clear second I personally didnt rate that LUCKY guy from Keswick at all

By the sounds of it you may have trouble against left handers?

The best bowler at the moment would have to be Lourens. Lucky i do rate up there, however consistentcy wise, i dont think he can be put up there at the moment.

Well since basso is out for a duck, they are not looking like a good chance. Section 2 nest year for plympton

No G dean in for cove on Saturday, wyc make 400 what a surprise! Should make for a good run chase though, if the cove bats fire it would be advised to use sth road on Saturday as fielders will be scattered on Marion road to save time. Well batted to the wyc boys though, but your visitor change rooms smell like wee..
