There is no doubt the young Mcleod's boys have heaps of talent and years to come be very good bowlers but who are they going to replace in the A Grade when you have Gully,Miller, Hill,Vikas,Woolcock and Reynolds(who would you drop out of these??)

LOL LOL LOL!!! 600 runs against in two weeks and you think your bowlers are doing the job and the batsman are leting you down!!

As for the replacing, bloody hell replace them all if they cant get the job done :D

Mate i never said we had an A Grade Bowling Lineup but what i did say was we had the best bowling line up possible and i still stick to that!!!! but after saying that Jared was spoken to Wed night and asked if he did want to play A's this game and his response was "i don't think im ready yet" so what can you do??he is still very young and the last thing you want to do is force him to do something he doesn't.

i will be the first person to put my hand up and admit i was wrong in saying i thought we would be competitive at the start of the season..the truth is now obvious that we are way out of our depth in Div 2..no one wants to get beaten every game and i cant speak for the others but i am now finding i am not enjoying my cricket anymore :( and thats obviously not a good thing.

Is a lightning quick ground though, good value for bats, i would say 275-300 is par score :P

yep , what can we say , lochiel and the young harry batted well  and some of the finest shot selection from harry , and yes ground is quick and smallish ground but take nothing away from fitzroy boys they played well , and to be honest we played like a bunch of old men oh hang on most of us are old men  but our turn to bat next week and this should let us know were we are at this point of the season, if our batters (not the hitters) bat the way we know they can bat then 300 odd will be a great chance. so nek lift our heads and play the way know we can, auto bud nice hitting mate but the catch to dismiss you was awesome (unlucky mate)
see yu next week lads ;)

cheers smasha! Its also not the best ground to field on either. Plenty of uneven bounces that gifted us with boundries or extra runs. But anything can happen at this stage, we chased down 297 against u blokes in the semi's last year, so we certainly dont think its over yet. However, Pistol not being able to play next week is some positive news. Just means you will be coming in earlier :S haha

Totally natural response from a young fella. He's always gonna have doubts in the back of his mind about moving up into the A's, but this is where the leaders of the Club should be supporting him and pumping up his tyres to give him confidence, not letting him continue to cruise along and dominate in a lower grade where he knows he will.. :?

I know I said I was gonna bite my tongue on the state of affairs at Enfield, but this needs to be said. Unfortunately ECC lacks true leadership, and has done for a long time.' Leadership' isn't someone putting their hand up to captain or coach a side, it's about blokes who can positively influence the current and future fortunes of the club with selfless sacrifices & hard decisions that don't take into account fragile ego's and whether so-and-so is gonna spit the dummy because it doesn't suit them. And until they weed out the sooks and selfish pr!cks who're in it for themselves, and start making hard decisions that are for the betterment of their future, they will continue to struggle unfortunately.

PV is down to 2 teams now, but would rather have 2 teams of blokes who are committed to doing the right thing for the club & by their teammates and cut loose the parasites who give back nothing and expect the world. That's what ECC need to do to start heading in the right direction before they lose the likes of young McLeod to clubs with better environments. A fish stinks from the head down, and that's what's happening right now IMO. I seriously hope for their sake they can bite the bullet and put some sound structures in place to move forward & be successful.

I'm gonna attempt to not upset anyone with this post!

But had to put my thoughts in, after facing both the young mcleod boys on the weekend i have no doubt they will be very good players for a fair while if they hang around the club....but gully knows what he's talking about on this one! They are very young and very fresh, good movement and both put the ball in good areas. But both lack that little bit of pace to be effective in any higher grade, IMO only that is! think it'll do em more good being in the B's. Was very impressed with all enfields bowlers, even Phantoms bro opened the bowling. Same thing not much pace but good consitent movement.

That is all, once again i'll apologise in advance if i offend anyone with my opinion....

In response to myself.....statistcs sometimes lie! Look at N Barrett from adel lutherans, and A Timm from PV's bowling figures for the year! If you had seen them bowl you'll know what i'm talking about! That is all.

I would agree with that opinion after facing a lot of J McLeod the previous week.

Promoting kids is not always the answer - if they get belted and are in losing teams that can ruin their confidence and enjoyment of the game very quickly. The other risk is that they don't get much of a bowl in the higher grade.

As stated earlier, there seems to be a big difference in standard between Div 2 and 3 this year. From what I have seen, the standard of Div 3 is no higher than Div 4 was last year, while there are a lot of former Div 1 players playing Div 2.

Got no doubt you fellas can get those runs Smasha, but at the end of the day im glad we're defending 300 rather than the 150 or 100 as we've been scoring of late. Im sure you lads would like to pay us back for last years semi also so i got no doubt its gonna go down to the wire. We gotta make sure we take every chance that comes our way.
