 Rule the Association?? Funny stuff! The difference between me and you champ, is that I DO actually get out from behind my keyboard, back my gob up and donate my time and services to the Association to help provide a positive environment for players to compete at the next level. I'm just standing up for our Association rep program and my players who actually have the talent and the balls to test themselves against better opposition, but are copping a public bagging from insignificant nobodies like you who go around flapping ya jaws and moaning about processes and selections you know stuff all about. Your comments above prove that you have NFI.

If I were you I'd be more worried about what's going on at your own Club and it's members playing out your petty drama's like Days Of Our Lives in a public forum for everyone to see. Allegedly so much "back-stabbing" it's more like a childish game of Cluedo than a cricket club! Luckily for you, REAL men who know sport and take pride in their Club like O.B. are still there to hold it together.. ;)

Moaning about processes and selections???? i never commented on how players were selected all i said that from past encounters that wrighty has only got one shot!!! did i say he was a shit player??? did i say he doesnt deserve to play in the assoc side .....ummmm NO....it must be an easy job being a captain of a team?? shows how much you actually know!!! just because i dont donate my time to the assoc that must mean i dont help young players compete???? i steered Enfield out of debt about 3 years ago when they only had a few hundred $$ in the bank to a club that is now finacally stable!!! this year i took on the A grade captaincy which as you know at a back stabbing club is no easy task... you are right about O.B he is a great bloke but there are other ppl that do alot aswell.. any way ive had enough of this verbal slanging its pointless for the assoc. I was glad to see the assoc side have a win and i do think the assoc has moved forward in the past few seasons

1. The herder knows his shizzle, hence he has accumalated so much respect around the place, why people do listen when he speaks.
2. true did a very very good job..
3. Never an easy job at any club mate, especially where politics are involved and also where people strongly believe they should be playing at a level the club doesnt agree with whether it be higher or lower.
4. come on just a bit longer till Mr Miraculous comes on lol :P

i wasnt saying the herder doesnt know his shizzle i was stating that being a captain IS a hard job for everyone that is a captain maybe i worded that incorrectly

Well, I'm kind of glad you asked that question.. ;)

if paul wright can make that team you know they are struggling for talent... if the church league didnt play fav's to the ppl that suck c**k maybe they would be more competitive!!!

Wasn't on this forum, but these are your words directly derived from the wonderful world wide web. ;) No different than bagging people verbally and it getting passed around 'Chinese Whispers' style. This is the kind of trash I'm referring to, so based on that, YES you have commented on how players were selected and YES you are inferring that Wrighty isn't up to it at that level. I think his performance this year for CM AND in the last SAMCA match suggests otherwise. Adelaide is a small place, and the cricketing community an even smaller one. Perhaps be more careful what you say and whom you say it to and you won't leave yourself wide open for criticism. ;)

My main gripe is that behind the scenes we have worked our a$$es off over the last 5-6yrs trying to dispel myths and break down barriers between the old school Churches teams and the old school Independent Central teams and change the majority of perceptions within the comp to create a good culture for representative cricket. When people who don't bother to come out and see it for themselves and have no idea the selection processes etc that are in place, but are quite happy to bag it in black'n white in an open forum for everyone to see, well I'm not going to sit back and leave it unchallenged. A lot of C&CCA players & officials peruse this great site and I refuse to let the uninformed knockers detract from and chip away at destroying the hard work that many have put in to get where we are today, particularly with the rewards of that hard work starting to finally show. That's my main beef.

On a side note, I fully agree that captaincy is a tough gig and certainly not everyone's cup of tea. I take my hat off to anyone who puts their hand up to do the job, and moreso in an environment that is, well, let's just say.....fickle.. When I first came into this comp Enfield were a powerhouse in Div 1. I hope that you can rise above the negativity and help get ECCC back where they once were. All the best JH. 8)

So do I the EUCCC have a huge history and some of the best cricketers that have ever played in the association as it was and as it is now. From what I hear it needs alot of work to get back to number 1, one thing is they still have some guys that have been there 20 years or so that know what it was like then and should start to put processes in to make sure Enfield once again is a force not only in Div 1 but in all grades they play in.

I strongly believe the best thing Enfield can do is concerntrate on having 3 teams for next season. having a 4th team leaves others without and always seams to divide the club. I think having only 3 teams will mean that chances are they will be 3 strong teams and when things are going well on the field, things usually click off of it

Para Vista A lost to Fitzroy A. Chasing 120 odd, they were dismissed for 109. Unbelievable! Bourke, Bacon and BB all among the wickets. Fitzroy batted for a while afterward and went to town on Vi$ta, both Loechel and BB notching up good scores.

Para Vista B, on the other hand dismissed Enfield for 115 (they were chasing 225). It was a slow day out - took us 57 overs to roll 'em - it was clear they were just shutting up shop. Pete Johnson was their top scorer with 20 off 40 overs, O'Regan, Hassloff and Para Vista's newest secret weapon all took multiple wickets.

Our C's had a bye - but I'm keen to know how Fitzroy went down there, chasing down the 525 set for them by Paralowie last week... Any takers?

Ouch for the A's. Were they missing a few players or just a bad day out with the bat?

We chased down 141 well within our 40 and 4 down... I helped a bit with 103* and our number 6 finished with 19*. doesnt leave much for the rest of the boys

103*...well done boy. hope to see u at fitzies next year....

there have been alot of unfamilair faces at vista this year, but the main guns in smith, goedecke, cuz, and marsh were there. marsh and cuz solid, the others just got out to some great bowling to be honest. fitzies on fire with the ball and field, no dropped catches wheras vista dropped quite a few. we should have made 60 odd. cuz didnt sound happy at all.......

our c-grade got bowled out for 96......and then paralowies just let and didnt let us bat again. i havent checked my rule book, but this sounds like a forfeit almost, or a loss of second innings. i would be interested i some other peoples thought......spintwin??

fitzy has all 3 grades in the final....good year for us :)

We didn't play a one dayer today asnth eastern knights didn't want toplay a one dayer and to be honest why would they want to risk losing a game when we couldn't fill a side the first week I wouldn't of if I was in there position.

I had a hit in the one day side today very interesting the things i seen today lol pure gold

thanks mate. you will see me out at Fitzies next year, but it will be down the other end with bat in my hand, I will be back in Vistas colours again. well as long as they have me back! then to try and get back in the Herders good books for a ticket to Sydney ;)

in regards to the C grade, I always thought that BOTH captains had to agree to call the game off after the first dig. Fair enough your boys had no chance in hell to win, but still its match practice. It will be interesting to hear what Spintwin / Ecky have to say about it.
