That simply shows what kind of bloke JC is doesnt it?

Although, i would hate a side if they were younger, better and continually beat us in big games

Well the last few pages have been an interesting read to come back to.

I don't think the issue is with JC having his opinion regarding WYCCC i think it is poor form that he felt the need the air those thoughts in his report to his club, not sure what is to be gained from doing that sort of thing.

Each to their own however.

Probably thought noone from outside the club would take the time to read it to be honest.
If I want to take a cheap shot at another club, or player, I do it on this forum. Therefore I know it is read by hundreds, nay, thousands of intellectuals ;)

In any case, I will watch what I write in my Presidents report this year. Might even leave South Road alone for a while this season! :^o

I'm interested to hear what people have to say about the man? In my opinion he is the man ASCA no longer needs.
I just read a very interesting article on the Ramblers website from their annual edition of the 'declaration'. In his A grade season report he blabbed on about how sporting they are and that Coromandel have poor standards and WYC are "a disgrace to ASCA".

If anybody is bored and wants a laugh download the file and have a read. Some may say that I'm stooping to his level...*EDITED BY MODS*

Look forward to a few replies from the Ramblers boys but I get the feeling he is not popular with many in the comp!!

On a positive note, looking forward to training tonight!! Season 11-12 is almost here :)

so people cant have an opinion???? not saying i agree with him.... so its not ok for him to have opinion but its ok for you to publicly bad mouth a bloke for all to see and to bad mouth his character in a public forum?? play ground stuff imo... if i played at wyc i wouldnt care, i dont think wyc are that insecure...

It's not about having an opinion, naming another side a “Disgrace” is a disgrace in itself. Especially in the yearbook as others have mentioned here. I’ve never been a big fan of JC.

On a brighter note, very impressed with the publication and the Ramblers’ website!

i think you find i wasn't agreeing with him... what i was more eluding to is (which may not have explained properly) how is not ok for someone to say somethings a disgrace, but on the other hand its ok to bag someone on a public forum...

Interesting while JC continues to get spoken about, I believe that it is very unfair for people to get on these forums and personally attack a person that you people do not even know anything about. I personally know JC, I know that he plays the game very hard, but also fair. I know the games that he refered to on his captains report at the end of season presentation night, and if you read into it he is telling his members how proud he was as a captain of his team and how they conducted itself on those given days. The umpires of both of these games came up afterwards and commended his teams attitude and demeanour in both of these games. I believe that he has done nothing wrong here and has not named any names as you are, dropping his on this forum and I think that this at times seems very slanderous. Maybe it is the ones on the forum dropping names that should look in the mirror.

I think everybody can respect the fact he is a passionate cricketer and he is proud of his players. There is no problem there!! The problem is calling a club a 'disgrace' in an OFFICIAL document. Do you not understand that? I recognise we're not playing first class cricket, but for some of us, ASCA is all we have and to see an opposition captain say something like that IMO could do a lot of damage to a cricket club. I could be over reacting, but I think its just not on!! Equally, I admit, you could say I'm being a hypocrite bringing this issue up on a public forum, however, I am only trying to make people aware of what gets said around the traps.

I was playing in one of the games he was reffering to and I can confirm that yes, it was a heated game. But to say "stoop to their lever" leaves me simply seeing a man in denial! There were some poor acts from both sides BUT there was also a situation which was completely misunderstood by all parties. So I'm ASSUMING that could be what Justins issue was.

To use a Turf Example of a massive backfire just ask the Walkerville Cricket Club how they went in the ATCA 20/20 Semi Finals at Goodwood Oval vs Grange 2 years ago. Someone at the club teed off at Grange and they 'discovered' it on their website. That was a red rag to Mark Harrity who bowled possibly one of the quickest 4 over spells in recent history and I believe he also damaged a few helmets as well.

Probably in hindsight not a good idea to post on the Internet for all and sundry to see.

JC already knows he will cop bouncers when he comes out to bat though ;)
Just ask how he got out in the semi 3 years ago
