What does that even mean ?? This is the second time Central United have played at Salisbury West in Grade 1 in how long ? 10 years ?

Classy stuff.

pretty stupid comment when u look at it that way. considering the umpire in the middle is an independant, official umpire and makes probably 95% of out/ not out decisions.

yeah its good to see a whole team of 11 come back n have a beer n socialise. the day was played in great spirits, with plenty of good cricket from both sides. Relationships between the two clubs have always been very good during the 5 years i have played in PDCA.

Troy Scott dominated the score card with a commanding 78 including a few monstrous sixes... including a one handed bomb over deep square leg, and one that landed well into the playground on the road side of the ground. Jenner was just relentless in his lines and lengths and with his variations of swing and movement he had the batsmen guessing all day long. and just quietly, without giving him too big of a head, Bedgegood also bowled 2 very tidy spells i must admit. game is in the balance i reckon, very much looking forward to next week

i did change it to mean ALL clubs, when you play away that happens.. we dont have tv replays. you move on ... so what does gr1 have anything to do with it, we all have other teams in other grades that play swcc not just gr 1 , ive played there almost every year for 20. dont know what you wanted to read into it...

Yep Scott batted well after he was plumb early ;) He played some great shots for sure.. As for DJ, a very smart bowler.. It doesn't take him long to work batsmen out, set them up and send them on their way. Was also nice to see an honest square leg for a change in relation to run outs & stumpings.. Helps set up the spirit of the game you speak about when a bloke's honest. We to are looking forward to next week & a few coldies with you lads afterwards..

So the whole club are cheats ?

And whether home or away, a one umpire system dictates the batting side does square leg at any ground.

look at it what way? considering the other 5% is the square leg and team mate of the batsman, and in this case the decision was made by the square leg.. it was called not out and we moved on. no biggie, the game was well and truly lost by then.

i dont think any clubs are cheats. some players make mistakes at sq leg under the pressure , and i think the 50/50 ones go with the batsman (as they should) . the only ones that dont are usually half way/ stranded down the pitch run outs.

Fair enough. Just sounded like you were tarnishing a whole club as cheats which is very unfair.

Play on...
