Great, looking forward to losing $300 at the tab instead of playing cricket!

These rain/hot weather delays are so ******* expensive

I know that they didn't do it for recognition, but a huge thankyou to the WYC boys for raising over $700 in the memory of David "Sleazy" Lee. They rattled the can at Westies clubrooms and collected the money - proceeds will sponsor a greyhound race in Davids memory and a healthy donation to beyond blue. I can assure you that the family is overwhelmed by what you have done - congratulations and thankyou!

So one G.Bruce from Coro doesnt have an account on SAfooty so he asked me to ask on here who everyones tips for the Hewett Medal for this season is at this stage?

Mine in order:

1. Tonkes - ICC have won a fair few games so this will help
2. Lourens - Coro maybe havent won enough games which could hinder Joshy's chances
3. Hopkins/Smith - very solid seasons from each with both of their teams putting in consistently good performances

Whats your blokes tips?

I really think Hoppy is a good chance this year. He has been basically our best player in every win we have had so he will poll plenty of 3's and some 2's. Not many people this year stealing votes from him besides Matt King.

I would be very surprised if he had less than 15 votes so far and he may have as many as 18 i think.

It is between Hopkins and Lourens. Can't see anyone else getting close. M.Thomas to round out the top 3.

Touch-wood, It looks like we might get a full-days play in its bright and sunny up in Blackwood hopefully the rain stays away. This will be an important round for those teams that are fighting for finals spots from section 1 right down to section 7.

Id have to say hoppy as well, very handy player with bat and ball, him and daniel rowe for me are the best players in sect 1 as they can turn a game with bat and ball. Lourens is the best bowler in the comp but hasnt got the same ability with the bat as rowe and hoppy. af has had a great year with the bat and also in the slips, very good fielder there. we just need him to turn some 50s into hundreds. hopefully in a final or something

Sharks made 151 off 73.3 overs or thereabouts.
Hopkins 4 fa, wright 1 fa, Kingy 1 fa, fairnington 1 fa, Allen 2 and m whenan 1 fa.

Sambo, tucky and winning probably top three run scorers.

Our bowlers bowled extremely well, very tight and restrictive. Fielding was pretty good as well. Good day for our bowlers
