Hopefully see more overs come out of the old man this season!

Paying for it now mate, did my groin 2nd ball of my 2nd over, probably should've stopped then. Wasn't enough to get me a vote in the Phantom medal though :(

Whilst i think your doing a great job Phantom with your "Phantom Medal" some times its very hard to wonder what the f@#k umpires are thinking some times with there votes.

Such as OZ a few years ago 10,000 runs along with 1000 wickets 427 catches and didnt even get an invite

Umpires really need to look at the timimg of a 5fa such as Kenty on the weekend the first 5 wickets of a game that is still well and truley in the balance far out ways picking up the tail when there going for a slap yet i dont think umpires see it this way they more look at the end figures than the timing of it happening.

Same with batting say the opener toughs out the new ball say against DAVIES and McINNCES for 15-20 overs only makes a 20 or a 30 yet your number 9 comes in and slaps 40 of HEWWY and the like.....
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

To the umpire's credit carey, I went through all of the games from last season and checked out the votes, they weren't far off the mark from what I predicted, I did take into consideration who got who out and how much influence the performance had on the result.

We did well to get through 58 overs, the going was tough, outfield was very heavy, we'll be better for it having to survive with two of our better bats not playing.

I'll fly the flag and say Johnny only bowling 4 overs and the no. 1 slow option not there the second Saturday and fielding with 10 didn't help our cause ;)

You done very well to get 140 without the 2 best bats, even with johny only bowling 4 overs there is still quality bowlers and all are smart bowlers that can bowl to a field.

Harder to bowl to a field with only 10 out there but at the end of the day you only lose the fineleg or a slip and good bowlers adapt.
