By the good work of goatie and others there are many more keen players than a few years ago. Can see sydney selection being a tough call and maybe some first choice players missing out.

Definitely some good talent out at Under 21s soo far.

Jarrad from Enfield will be a very good bowler in years to come. I believe he took 6fa on the weekend.
Matt Sandford will be a quality A Grade Cricketer in a few years time too.

Good to see an Adelaide Lutheran player out last night. Hopefully he can spread the word to some of his teammates and get them keen to play.

That my friend, would be Jarrad McLeod. 17 years old, got plenty of growth to spirt yet and boy can he hit the spot. Im told bowled 20+ overs straight Saturday. I only got to see 7 of them though of which 5 were maidens Wish I was 17 again

Yes, his control was very impressive on Saturday over such a long spell (about 25 overs straight I think!)
Although he did bowl about half those overs to probably the most defensive batsman in the association (me ) which made his figures look a little more economical than they would otherwise be!

Jarrads control is immaculate. Vs North Eastern Knights he took Jim Rotas and Scott Clunes off stumps out in consecutive overs. His knowledge, line and length is beyond his years and his all in all attitude is his fathers(a life-long friend of mine) doing. He can swing and cut the cherry where he wants. Im told Lairdy put him up for A grade selection last round but was rejected due to lack of experience and the A grade wanted one more quality performance in him. He then took a bag of wickets and Im told he has been selected to play A grade this Saturday so only time will tell. It may be the selection Enfield need. Good luck Jarrad.

was a fairly good session tonight about 10ish out there with quite afew not being able to make it some very good signs although its early!

2 young fitrozy lads look good the batsmen looks very handy the bowling as whole was good and the batting was very solid the young lad, hodo and jon smith all looked very good! looking like having a very good side for sydney going to be a very tough 13 to break in to!

looking forward to the internal and the PDCA game but more importantly sydney i serious think we can give it a shake with the side were looking at putting together but as i just said it is very early............

Yeah it was a good session despite the numbers, i really enjoyed myself out there tonight. Thanks for the complement dutchy I must say you were the pick of the bowlers tonight with that lethal out swing of yours. Although, I was quite happy with the 2 big wickets of hoddo and jon...if only i could have done that in the game
But yeah, its a good experience for us young lads to go to a training session with the best seniors in the competition and let us know where we are at in comparison to the more experienced members.
Is the next session next Wednesday?

Forgot about Matty Grantham.. He followed me to Walkies a few years after I went there and is still there I think..? Top lad & a solid cricketer.

Sean mellowed a bit towards the end of the TTG era and we even had a few civil conversations. When he first came into the comp though he was a firey little fekker. I remember spanking him around Terama one day and he eventually got me out - Copes plucked a one-hander at mid-on, and McConnell went ballistic and gave me the best send off I ever copped. Sensational stuff.

I heard Matty had moved to the hills or country or something? Not sure but I believe he's moved on. He's a very decent bloke and player. One of purest outswing actions I've seen.

Sean was naturally gifted at the send off! Some of the better ones he gave were to the PV boys. He seemed to save his best for you lot! I remember him asking Cuz if they called him Coussens because his parents are related Most of his stuff was harmless. I tink he just got bored so tried to spice up a contest.
