I can think of atleast a few that didnt play. We should be commended for having a side though as it wasnt that long ago we didnt. TURF simply a class above. Heard the turf side had 50 attend their training sessions.

While i'm here must commend the two Seaton lads that turned up to both training sessions. Now i recon
they would have had to travel atleast half an hour to get there while others that lived alot closer didnt even
bother.
Nice to see that representing your association means something to some guys.

ATCA had incredible class with bat and ball. Talking to the ATCA scorer, the opener that made a ton played Div 1 for Sturt last year, before taking this season "off" by playing Div 1 ATCA. He is a fantastic batsman.

Also, ATCA's depth was unreal - there was a Div 1 opening batsman who had to be pencilled in at number 5, despite the fact he is averaging over 60 this season!

The bowling was exceptional too, and the SACCCA lads were clearly unaccustomed to turf, with the hatrick wickets in particular being clean bowled where the batsmen went back instead of forward and the ball kept low.

The positives were that both the McLeods looked at home, and Ridley and Kelly from Adelaide Lutheran did (relatively) well with the ball. Great to see Spry jam down on a devlish yorker to deny an ATCA bowler his second hatrick for the afternoon too!

OB did a great job marshalling the troops, and it was great to see many members of the association executive committee and Mark Weinert out there spectating.

Churches well out played, but positives I seen were as follows..

Jarrod Mcleod - Batted superb, showed great application and determination before a stupid call had him run out. Lack of experience from both bats prob to blame.
Luke Mcleod - Another who I thought applied himself really well.
Matt Sandford - The only other batsman to challenge the bowling to some degree (bowled tripe though )

and last but DEFINATELY NOT LEAST..

The book was immaculate mate. You just had crossed-eyes from when that hero streaker ran across the pitch after the hatrick. $50 all-you-can-eat-and-drink Beer and Prawns day at Kilburn Footy Club sure makes for interesting viewing even if the cricket is a let-down.
