how else would you see about seeding sides because it needs to be done...

im not arguing about this subject because i wasted 4 hours of my life today umpiring a game which in the end doesnt mean a pinch of salt because they will end up flipping a coin anyway...

i want those 4 hours back

I actually like the T20 draw. Gives an FA cup style feel and its great for international to have some sort of fun in what is a terrible year for them.
Clapham could be similar to a Belair and make a charge up the sections, so its a good test for them also. And if you want to win it you have to beat the best at some stage so get on with it.. Coin toss however a little confusing??
Think T20 is perfect for something different instead of having it Sect 1 exclusive.

I also like the draw. Bit of luck is needed for the lower sides to get the entire way through the t20 comp! As we are only in the 2nd year of the t20 format in our comp, there are going to be things that need change, and things to be worked on! Overall though, from last year to this year, the new draw makes it a lot fairer, and also gives each club a chance to host a game!

I would not write of Clapham from going another round further or even to the GF, they are constantly scoring massive scores in there division, and have won rather easy so far, so they will be hard to beat!! In saying that, it would be good to draw one them ;)

When are ramblers and coro playing?

T20 today against sharks ended in a tie Sharks hit 172 we bowled pretty poorly i thought and were 0 for 100 after 9 overs till we lost 3 for 7 in 4 overs last over we needed 11 to win ended with a quick leg bye off the last bowl. Dave Morrison for us belted a quick 69 off 9 overs hit it clean and Joshy Bennett hit 53 opening up with him.

At this stage we play again next week but with us having a few blokes at stereosonics and our quiz night this Saturday and apparently they have Sambos buck show this week may come down to a toss of the coin in a week and a half.

Shoulda had a super over or something to that extent TL to sort it out at the ground IMO.
Must of been a great day of cricket though with 340 runs scored in 40 overs.

As i said before JB, just because Sheidow finished 4th last year in the 2 day comp means they deserve to be seeded 4th for a t20 comp. you didnt make it pass the first round last year IIRC.
For example, ANA didnt get pass the first round of the t20 this year yet are looking like they will go close to the minor premiership!

No one knew what happens Mick Miller reckons that they changed the super over rule this year we suggested a super over and we also had enough time to have a 5 over each match but they wanted next week doubt it will happen like i said flip a coin we lose that who cares.

I was of the understanding that as soon as a ball is bowled on day one it is a game and you split the overs that being the 75 next week and the 18.3 bowled, which would count as 19 being 94 overs so it should be a 47 over game per side. I will stand corrected but that was my understanding of our rules. Who was your umpire TL?

We had a new bloke I think its Alan S?????? we had him last week against Keswick and Ray Thatcher was there watching him so you'd think they'd know.

Sambo only avaliable week 1 should had seen the Sharks they had everyone getting the pitch right did a good job after it was completely under water but a massive farce. We had a decision at 2 wether we played they sat in their rooms for half an hour then at 2 to 2 Mick Miller drives off to get sand from ICA and the umpire wouldn't let Sambo do the toss cause he wasn't captain then lets him when Mick pulls into the ground 20 minutes later only to lose another 15 minutes when we could had been ready to go.

official result

The draw was a bit meh. For this round they could have put teams from different sections in separate hats then drawn 1 side from each hat so to speak, then once all the non-section 1 sides were drawn, draw the remaining section 1 sides as per usual.
This would mean no lower section sides would be playing against each other and all Section 1 sides had the same chance of playing a lower section side.

First time user boys. Will get better as i use more.
Want to get on the anti South Road bandwagon.
Last year we scraped together a 1/2 A grade 1/2 D grade side against them. Got rolled for 40 odd, had them 6/20 when they sent out a bloke cooking the bbq to umpire, who promptly made a blatant error in judgement shall we say, & it was game over for us.
This weeks forfeit was nothing less than pathetic and Morphies should send them a bill for lost revenue on bbq's raffles etc.
I understand that there was still enough supporters to have a 20/20 of their own and enjoy the day.
