The mighty West Torrens defeated East Torrens by three runs in the other semi. A most amazing finish to the game. With five overs left (including two of the power play), East Torrens needed 11 runs to win with six wickets in hand. Two State players, Kane Richardson and Ben Dougall, were in and had put on a seventy run partnership. Amazingly, they proceeded to lose five wickets for the addition of only two runs in four overs, leaving them 9 runs to win from the final over. West Torrens ended up winning by three runs. The 48th and 50th overs were bowled by young Michael Humphries, playing what I am pretty sure was his first West End Cup match (replacing the injured Warrick Stanborough). The 48th over was unbelievably a maiden. Well done Humpa!! Well done, Eagles!!

Well summed up Bulldog.

One of the biggest chokes you will ever see by a team, no wonder there was so much being thrown around after the game in the East Torrens changeroom!

Sturt batted first and made 181 off 50 overs Davis made 50 off. Then TTG cruised to a 6 wicket win in the 48th over 40s to Weaver, Marsh and Tim Davey

Yes, it most certainly can. A Kensington win over West Torrens in the next round and a Woodville win over Prospect would see West Torrens fall from first to third, home final is in jeopardy.

One Day final is on this Sunday, always a good day watching some cricket, no matter who is playing.
Tea Tree Gully vs West Torrens....
Boths team look very evenly matched, with the shield game claiming a couple of players from both sides.
TTG finished top i think, West Torrens 4th.
Should be a cracker game, whats everyones thoughts?

TTG have a fine record in the shorter version of the game. The loss of Davey for them and the gain of Crosthwaite for the Eagles could have a bearing. The Eagles are likely to be without James Smith, Callum Ferguson, Aidan Blizzard, Peter George and Warrick Stanborough but will certainly be competitive.
Go the Eags!

Looks like the team that covers for the loss of some batting power(TTG Head, Davey)(WT Smith, Ferguson,Blizzard) will most certainly be the winner, who'comes in for them. Bowling looks looks quite even.

Tips?
