He's spelt Willi on the website, so it's obviously not doing what you seem to think it will anyway. Funny that you're the one not happy with the status quo and I'm the one whinging? I'm happy with it, you're the one whinging about it needing to change. Lol. That's not the only case of pots and kettles in your post either. It takes two to argue.
Updating a website faster will help with media coverage how? Especially given they already publish highlights the day after. This is the aspect you seem to refuse to acknowledge. How does knowing someone got bowled for 5 help with media coverage? They want the results and highlights. They get that information in within 24 hours!
I fully realise we're among the better clubs at getting it done. But we can do it at the club the day of the game or the guy who does it can do it the next day. Not all clubs are in that position. It's just a little bit of empathy for people who volunteer their time when not many are willing to do it. In a climate of fewer people willing to put in and many of those wanting to do less anyway the more we can make things easier to run the better. We start handing out fines to the smaller clubs because the 1 person willing to do it can't get down to the public library until Wednesday then those clubs will simply fold.
He was only an initial last season on the website, I'm not a lone soldier in thinking it needs to be done sooner, I get complaints when I don't acknowledge some performance's but the paper's wont put in just a surname. I try to find some fabric in the columns otherwise it's like I'm just translating from a scoreline, partnership's and seeing where the game changed are important to the reader.
I have until 9am Monday to submit the column, maybe it doesn't interest you but I get good feedback from a lot of clubs saying it's about time the PDCA got some coverage.
Exactly the reason I'm going to the ATCA.. I'm nt waiting til a Thursday to admire my scores. I'd rather do it Saturday night.
You should get some screen shots of your 150+ average print them out and post them around the CU clubrooms
Average is down to a measly 140
