Have work commitments satday mornings and has been difficult getting to the games on time.
Im playing C grade this week and see how things pan out during the year, might play higher next year when i start a new job which doesnt require saturday mornings. I am missing playing with the boys in the A's but getting a bit old for the serious stuff... ie training!

When have you played us at Cowandilla?? ;)

And yeah, got a record of some really close games at plympton over the years! Should be a cracking game, and if we lose it really puts us back in the pack and a chance to miss out, but a loss to your mob will make it real tough to make the 4

Remember that game when that Elletson bloke took that catch off Hopkins at Plympton. (result is irrelevant, Haha!). If i remember it was a beauty!!!! Followed by a big night at the club for a sportsmens night...

How has every one rated the standard of umpiring this year? Me personally I think its been pretty good although we have had a few decision especially caught behinds that werent given but it hasnt cost us too much with 2 of the blokes walking and 1 bloke walking then coming back after he relized he was given not out :? Its a whole lot better than umpiring ourselves. I think ;)

Not dropped, his choice. Struggling to get through 75 overs, also time to give the younger guys a crack. If he takes another 5/ might be a different story.

Fair enough. Was just thinking that he is way too handy down in your B grade! Quality bowler!

Hey Guys, Whats the odds of no play today.... 60/40 in favour of play?
The run ups at Plympton may be an issue, but haven't seen them of late so may be okay

I still rate us a 75-25 chance of playing! very hard to get washed out in our comp when unless raining at the time of the game!!

ramblers will get on i reckon, hawthorndene is pretty windy, only issue is that our matting is permanent so will prolly be pretty wet, but the wind should dry it out, but who knows

We got no play in today. Our b's have Plympton 6/ 115? Would have been less if their umpire wasn't legally deaf

Our c's also had a good day with the ball having belairs seconds 8 / 67.

Haven't heard our D's.

Did many games get underway?

ANA / Morphies played, ANA 2/140 after 40ish overs before the rain hit. Rowe batted very well for 65, basso 50 odd not out, 20+ in french cuts. Tough day with the ball with the wind, but with the boundries at ANA now resembling a primary school oval should be a good game next week.

I'm not sure he knows what he wants to do yet. After retiring for the second year running after the GF last year he was keen again until he got his 400th for the club in round 1. After bowling 12 straight in the B's 2 weeks in a row (took 3/ today) he still might change his mind yet. He's always got the club's best interest at heart so I think he'll play where needed.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE south road not being able to come up with 11 blokes to play the 20/20 at morphies today!
To ring up and forfiet this morn is a joke! we played them last year and really struggled to get 11 but we did with a side of mostly D graders but we rolled up!
With 4 sides not getting 11 guys is weak its simple as that!!
A big day was planned today with past players etc and unlike them we actually do get people back at our club so very ordinary south road..

So how does it work now for next week? Does it become 75 overs + your already used 20.2, so 96 combined = 48 overs a side? And you've used 20 of them?

If so, I'm pretty happy we didn't get underway yesterday. Makes it pretty awkward.
