Ah ok, Matty Verrall.

Quite sharp on his day and a very good cricketer but you never know which Matt is gonna turn up on match day.

LMAO,it just might be.IIRC that match I batted ok,had to,Fliders Hospital insisted on using a kids practice ball FFS! No wonder I couldn't get anything to happen with it. haha.

You seem to know me Insider, how about some clues as to your identity? pm me if you like.

As for improving, not once you are in your 30's I wouldnt think.

I dont see much of the Section 1 cricket now,I play Section 3,so Im not sure how Thomas is travelling.

Big Toddy is fitting in quite well, a very nice bloke, spent all day at the pub with last saturday arvo. Toddy hasn't got a lot a wickets but bowled very well and also had 10 catches dropped off his bowling as he informed me.

Pity for the clubs 'reluctance' to join Section 1.

I used to work with a guy who played A's for them and he told me that they didn't have any youngsters about the club and that the club as a whole was only going to get older and less able to compete in Section 1. I used to give him heaps because during that season (a few years ago now) they hardly dropped a match all year and everytime he said something about their results I used to razz him up about being a second grader (even though he's three times the player I am ha ha).

As for improving in your thirties, I think it is possible for batsman if they learn to play within any limitations they may have. For bowlers they have to do a DK and discover ways to remain effective once the inevitable loss in pace occurs. For spinners they may pick up a few new tricks so I disagree with the Boon on that call.

would think the top 4 would finish something like-

1. western youth
2. ICC
3. keswick
4. morphettville pk

they'd b the top 4 teams in the comp, be good to c it finish that way... 4th spots definately up for grabs though
