I can only think of one person that can talk a good a game as Merki. Maybe he does play at the Farm. A.B. Could have finally found time out from his busy pie making schedule and started looking at other sites rather than the porny type ones. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Last weekend they were spot on too, everyone was worried there would be heavy rain on Friday and saturday yet the forecast maps said bugger all and that's exactly what happened, bugger all!

At least this time they won't call it off so early, they only jump the gun like that when it's the first week of a two day game.

Jumped the gun! You're kidding aren't you. Most places had 15-20mm from Thursday night to Friday night and ther was no way we could have got a pitch up. I thought ATCA made the right call and timing was perfect.

Nah, not kidding.
Adelaide had 0.2mm of rain on Thursday when most of the pitch preperation was done.
Yeah, Friday was a bit wet with 10.2mm but Saturday was sunny and windy, perfect conditions for drying out. We would have played at our ground.

You must have been the exception to the rule. I saw some pretty reasonable showers come through Saturday which on top of 10-15mm would have made it impossible to play. ATCA and SACA both call off all turf games Saturday - that includes A Grade where ethey have covers. Couldn't even get Salisbury oval up for Ray Sutton on Sunday, so the kids played hard wicket.

Absolutely chucked it down Thursday night & Friday morning down our way. The other thing missing from the required drying conditions Friday & Saturday was warmth! I think the ATCA made the right call & appreciate that they did it early enough. There's nothing worse than having to go to the ground on a Saturday when you know you're not going to get any play in.

Hopefully we get a full day in this weekend.

Wonder how many of the people who complain about wash outs when its sunny on a saturday have actuall ever prepared a wicket...

There was absolutely no chance of games getting up last weekend, ATCA should have made the call at 9am. The way the rain came down about 7ish it was always going to be doubtful of playing.

Or if ATCA hadnt made the call and you got a game up, how many people would be on here complaining about low slow wet wickets with soft/unsafe footmarks... If anyone played the result would have been a given just after the toss was completed and the winner sent the opposition in to bat..

If you want to play after its rained for a day and a night, go play hardwicket cricket

Didn't realise Mickey was so sensitive about wicket preperation. It's a bit of grass, you mow it, water it, roll it and paint white lines on it! ;)
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

Another day of no cricket looks a real possibility if this rain continues for at least the next hour or 2.

Who is going to get close to Woody Rechs in A2? Duffett and the 2 Southam brothers will dominate this comp and would expect them to go through an undefeated season.

Long season FW.
Only takes one dodgy ump to fire a couple in the middle order and all of a sudden you've dropped a game.

Joel and Ben played last year and Rechies probably dropped games they should not of, however with Duff back they will certainly make some big scores...

All out 58 in 15.1 overs....good to see they kept the scoreboard ticking over whilst losing 10 wickets. Honestly, how can you lose 10 wickets in 15.1 overs?

Looks like another wash out on the way. 90% chance of 20-40mm on Friday and 80% chance of 1-5mm on Saturday. Why don't we just agree to play 1 Day games every second week. Interested Observer, you could make a come back if you had two weeks to recover every game.
