Local Derby round this week by the looks of things.
Pt Elliott v Goolwa
Aldinga V Myponga
Willunga V Districts
Compass V Encounter Bay (the love that is shown when Chopper talks about Cam Lintern makes those 2 teams part of the local Derby, I guess)

Im liking

Local Derby round this week by the looks of things.

Pt Elliott v Goolwa-Elliot Should be too good with a good bowling line-up, batting is still a worry though.
Aldinga V Myponga- Aldinga too strong, depends who shows up for pongy
Willunga V Districts-McLaren Have batting problems, but best line and length bowling attack in league with enc bay, should be too good.
Compass V Encounter Bay-Have strong side this yr compass, should be a cracker of a game though

OK, Nobody wants to say much and with some outstanding performances with the bat by some bowlers eg. Duncombe/ Binns/ Ziggy/ Shooter etc, it made me wonder -
"When will Nummy make some runs"?
So Lets open up the polls and see what the punters are thinking.

Thats a bit surprising that they would not have even tried to win especially with tomo , pacitti, shaun hutchy and the smiling assassin dave wenham in the line up. maybe the bowlers did a better job than you give them credit for!

Would've been a tough ask for Pongy to chase down a 200+ score on a traditionally slow outfield. Sure they could've gone for it and risk getting bowled out for <100 again. Tactically, I reckon Tommo got it right. With lots of rain about try to keep Aldinga out there as long as possible and aim for a downpour and 3 premiership points. Aldinga do have a history of not wanting to get back on the field with a bit of rain about! ;)

Interesting year coming up lads very tight and close.
Think Enc Bay are the team to beat atm, have great depth in batting and bowling, as well as Willunga who on the weekend were very good in beating a very formidable Vale Team.
Port Elliot are going great guns but cant be judged until they beat a top side, with wins over lowly Pongy and Goolwa will be looking for a big scalp this week and will be able to see where they are.
Can never write off Compass but seem to have lack of depth in bowling, but have great Batting side, with some of the best bats in the league available.
Dingy are going well too, but a rumour of the Garrard boys going for the rest of the year potentially leaves a massive difference in their batting line up, but have some great kids going well,
Will be interesting to see half way how the ladder sits.
Good luck and Stumps Lads!!!

Hello everyone!!! Whats going on?? ...Im thinking that Nummy will make some runs when J.I. does clearly Num still thinks he,s still on vacation, and has forgotten that to make runs you have to play shots first..!!!

But with J.I. on the way to Olympic rings this season...why does,nt he get picked on...plus he,s supposed to be a ..GUN after all!!!!! ;) Just love that saying.."He,s a Gun", yep that old chestnut!!!

Maybe Num could take a leaf out of a certain B Millar,s batting book and have a 'V' that went from fine leg to mid wicket.. haha!!!

Seriously though folks Enc Bay are looking pretty handy again this year, and won on the weekend with a second string side!!!

Clearly Aldinga are issues without the Garrard,s, Willunga are going to be "something"and will be around the mark in March...although they do tend to c....

Elliot 'seam' to be ok and have a ...yep "He,s a GUN" bowler..and no its NOT you Hamish!!!

Goolwa and Pongy have certainly got some talent, but need their best on the park to win and do tend to rely on too few to get them over the line!! Tomo= yep"He,s a GUN"!!!!

Compass need to just wake up, old men take a bit longer to get going and with Binn,s in the side they
certainly are OLD  Mind you..he,s their best player which doesnt say much for the rest of them!!! But generally they will slowly get better and like fine wine will turn just right as the season goes!!!

Thoughts everyone!!! as this forum is pretty mellow!!!!

Boring it was but your lack of ability to bowl them out to give yourselves a chance of an outright should be of more concern, especially when you have them 3/12 (Tomo & Tilt out)

If Bryce doesn't play for whatever reason, Dingy wont play finals.

Perhaps..but the 3 players that made runs on satdy chasing 230 i wouldnt call 2nd string. I also think Jase Beveridge deserves some congradulations on making 120 not out. Great Effort

whats the go with spurling, havent seen his name in the bowlers list this year? injured?

what will happen to pongy this week on the turf at the bay? possibly the worst batting line up against the best bowling line up!

compass will need to post 250+ to be safe each week. bay boys got the 231 required with 10 overs left!

the bays just win, barring anything rediculous happening, back to back for mine.
