Coro Ramblers over Plympton in the T20 today. Good bowling and some ordinary batting saw some scores around 100. Not a great deal in it.

Well done to ramblers on the win, and well done to ramblers for staying around at the club for a fair while to have a few beers, just a shame none of our boys could have a drink with you.

It's going to be a very tight finish for the top 4 this year.

Cove just need to win one more game and they are basically assured of playing finals.

I think Coromandel will make the finals now as they have a pretty good run home.

We have a very tough draw to finish with and will need to win at least 2 if not 3 and we will need to improve our batting efforts considerably for that to happen.

Bays and Sharks will be around the mark and i still think the Ramblers will make it easily.

Good to see the comp this even.

Will be interesting to see how Cove go against some of the better sides coming up.

ICC/Cove to play the T20 semi this weekend and the winner gets the home final against the Ramblers. Ramblers drew 4 away games in T20 this season.

Association game against Turf Sunday 13th Feb. Location unknown. Expect Cove to have the largest contingent of players with Thomas x 2 & Kinnear (unless they can't play?)

Association side that I would pick based on it being a one day game and stats unavailable to myself at present:

Smith :(
Thomas. M
Rusty
Hopkins
McKay
Sampson
Rowe
McCormack
Lourens
May
Kinnear B.

No idea how Kinnear bats So iv put him number 11.

May has bowled really really well lately and he destroyed us, and his average is superb.

Openers of kinnear and Lourens with other bowlers to be May, Rowe, Sampson, Hopkins and Smith

i like your side ck but in regards to mckay, no doubt he has been one of the best bats in the comp in recent years but i would like to see form play a larger part in selection over reputation. would be good to see one of cameron, d thomas or verrall instead?

I think the Thomas's would open together given they do it every week. Reckon M.Thomas might sneek in a few overs too.

I'd like to see Blesing in this season. Much improved bowler and would be up there in total wickets if he bowled as many overs as the leading wicket takers.

McKay has a bulge in his back so he won't play anyway but if was fit u would always have to have him in your team regardless of form. Can win a game easy off his own bat.

Did think about opening both Thomas' and Smith at 5 with no McKay but iv never seen D. Thomas bat so hard to pick him.
Hopkins to stay at 4 though, it's his best position especially in one day cricket I feel.
AF, agree blesings had a better year and improved, but IMO not up there with Lourens, Kinnear, Hopkins, Sampson, Rowe or May, even though calebs more consistent (although they have something in common ;) )

Hopkins, McCormack, Sambo, Rusty, MacKay (if fit) and steve Mcrae should all get preference due to there continual services with the side over the last 5 years. when players have been asked to play in the past in dead rubbers, players have been very quick to pull the pin. These players are those that play every year.

Every year it comes to that the team should be picked on form and not just talent however it never eventuates because players choose not to play. I certainly think that the change in format to these games will change the way the team is selected and also increase the 'availability' of form players and others to play in the team.
