The Australian Cricketer's Association (ACA) is coming to Strathalbyn on February 11th and 12th for a festival of cricket. Former Australian test legends Jason Gillespie, Greg Matthews, Shaun Tait and Wayne Phillips along with Adelaide Strikers star Ben Laughlin and Redbacks Mark Cosgrove and Dan Cullen will all be here for the following events:

In A2, ROCS lose there first game of the season to Fulham, but sew up the minor premiership and promotion to A1. Well done. That leaves 7 teams left in the race for the remaining 3 final spots and the other 4 teams in a relegation battle. Big games this round. Top 8 teams play each other and the bottom 4 teams play each other. Old Scotch, Unley, Ingle Farm and Woody South must win to stay alive. Port Districts the form team with 6 wins on the trot. Marion under the pump and looking like a late season fade out similar to last year. I expect Fulham will stay up now that Bone is back and piling on the runs.

Congrats to Golden Grove in LO6. I know they've had a tough season and like to play in good spirit, so it's good they keep getting a team on the field. That effort really does need to be commended - especially on the weekend when the heat could've meant looking for an easy out.
Although, 39.4 overs for 67 runs on the weekend is an interesting effort. I'm not sure what's better for the younger players in the side, batting out a day and learning 'stickability' for 67, or having a crack, learning to attack, and making the same score but in a shorter time frame.
It'd be an interesting philosophical debate.

And...Hope Valley the massive favourites for this grade, while teams in position two to five have to just keep winning, as it's tight in the race for the finals.
