Thats like me saying oh im coming back to churches next season to captain Enfield, i hit a carnival ton 6years ago when i was 19 and made the aussie side i wanna be in the top 10  but in reality im a filthy hack who would struggle to fit into any div 1 sides top 7!

BUUUUUT...

If we wanted to be real picky we could say apart from the 2x50s and the 100 last season and the 40 odd this season, he hasnt score over 30 in an innings since before dec 08 :P

Yep as i see it NEK and Vi$ta are fighting for a home final and probably us and Rose Parks are fighting for the last finals spot. Tho having said that weve already played Vi$ta twice and this will be our second match against NEK. So we should have an easier run into xmas and the finals compared to other teams.

Hears a question lol.. bit left field but anyway..

general consensus has NEK and PV as the two major teams, now towards the end of the season, would say NEK look at the ladder and try and finish in a position to play the weaker side below them that makes it i.e RP, and does a side below i.e. Fitzroy aim to win or position itself so it doesnt play arch enemy PV 1st week of the finals?

Bad luck if no one understands that, im bored :P

just play your best cricket and don't concern yourself with those type of tactics. Best team will win and to try to "arrange" finals is just stupid and dangerous. at that end of the season you should believe that you can win it regardless of opposition

Nah makes no difference because in all likelihood we would have to play them both during the finals. But as i said we are aiming just to make finals and dont take that as a cliche because its the reality of the situation. We are not good enough for the top 2(tho on our day we are) and i would expect Lutheran to get third. So we need every point we can to finish 4th. Whoever makes first makes no difference to us. And its been that way for a few years for our club. We know on our day we can beat anyone but as far as consistency goes we are usually around the 3rd/4th/5th spots every year. Who finishes top is prob more important to NEK and Vi$ta because theyd both want the home final.
