Don't get me wrong, I don't think anyone at Pooraka likes the 9 round format.
Just that we probably didn't lose any money because of it.
I didn't mind it.
Better to play every team once in the 2 day format, rather than a dodgy 1 day game at the beginning of the season.

Ok, I think the majority of people at Pooraka don't like it.
It's probably not that much of an issue for the guys who also play Twenty20 because they play a fair amount of cricket as it is.
I know the guys that play in the lower grades weren't too happy about having those three Saturdays off.

I saw most of the A1 GF and it was a ripper. Both sides under-performed with the bat but bowled really well. Grange just managed to strangle the life out of PAOC on day 2. Tough to defend a sub 100 score twice in two days and Grange were just to good in the end. Thought Wes Thomas was outstanding with bat and ball. Boucaut bowled an amazing spell to tie the game on day 1. Richardson's 42 not out was a great knock on day 1 as well.
What happened in the other GF's?

I don't like having Saturdays off either. We can try and add another T20 team next year so we can get more people involved during the season, I'm just saying that playing everyone once in the year in a 2 day format is the best way to go.
If they made the season length a bit shorter then we could close those Saturday gaps up.

When comparing games played, how would you suggest comparing 1 day and 2 day games in the tally?

My club allocates 0.5 for the 1-dayers, it's reasonable without being perfect.
In previous years you could have a two day player play a full season and get 11 games (ex Finals), yet a 1-day guy could only get a max of 9. The new draw has solved this issue.
Now the only issue comes when there is a wash/heat out one of the two weeks. The 2-day guy still gets a full game stat for what becomes a 1-day game, yet the guy playing LO's only gets 0.5
Minor differences really so no biggie.
We've got our stats put into mycricket back to 97, would have gone back further but we started to find errors in the old stats so chose only to enter what we knew were correct.
