Well its good to hear about the youth but I'm glad i tipped westies this week coz it sounds like ur goin to struggle a bit. Only just got over the line last week, and now ur missing howie and hewitt coming up against a stronger side. Goin to be a very stern test for the kids

Will be a big test for sure so i sincerely hope they are up for the challenge. :ympray:

Wouldn't stress, worst case you lose but they gain valuable experience and are better for it. At the end of the day, it's just a game and still they'll all wake up tomorrow (I hope :? )

Good day for the Parkers

Won the toss and batted and were bowled out in the 69th over.

EPFC all out 353

Stephen Sewell 86
Ian Williamson 54
Lyndon Matthews 51no (now hit 117 runs for the year without being dismissed batting at number 10)

Salisbury North 0/6

Fairly annoying and slightly dissapointing but works in our favour is the Playford council are top dressing all the local oval on Monday so expecting a pretty slow outfield next week.

The Baby Blues have set themselves up to have a decent crack next week. Bowled Salisbury West out for 143 and we are 1/42 at the end of today's play.

One tree hill seem to have put the disappointment of a poor show last ketch against the units behind them. We based today and put up a very respectable 220 odd for 8 off the 70 overs. Hanisch scoring 60 or so not out, with several other bats including Scott, bishop, Walter and smith all chipping in with 20s n 30s. Was good day for the goats on a slowish outfield at Virginia

Rose & Crown all out for 184 v Central United 0/1.
7 players hit double figures but no one managed to kick on.
Went from 1/49 at the 1st drinks but were pulled back by some tidy bowling and poor shot selection to be 6/108 before the tail wagged led by a patient innings from Clayton Cameron (31*), managed to scramble to a competitive total.
Full credit to the Central United bowlers, the openers Woodward and D. Ritzema bowled with good control and consistency to create chances and the change bowlers, although lacking any real venom continued to hit good areas.
Outstanding fielding side...

The rumour mill was in full swing tonight
Stamavich to play a handful of games at Sandy Creek in the invitational X1 along with Bomber and J.Mac to Smithfield on a very good wicket.
Could be total crap but my sources are very close to the guys concerned

Im sorry thought Rose and Crown might have been under the impression Stama might play for them and J.Mac wasnt playing at all, but he will line up for Smithfield. I would say that involves PDCA.

Doesn't phase R&C. Jimmy and Stama weren't there few years previous, they haven't been there so far this year.. What i'm getting at is as much as im sure the club would love these two amongst the A grade, they aren't the be-all and end-all.. The club has managed to survive and have success in in previous seasons without them, and i'm sure will continue to be competitive regardless if this rumor turns out to be true, there is more to a successfull CLUB than having a couple of handy cricketers..

Plenty of other blokes who are willing to put their hand up and have a crack out of the love of the game and the club...

Thou says no ounce of sleep shall be lost over this rumor.. but nice try ;)

R&C A grade priority 1 - worry about the game currently in progress...
R&C A grade priority 2 - worry about the SAMCA T20
R&C A grade priority 3 - worry about the next game...
...
...
...
R&C A grade last priority - the movements of some blokes who suited up LAST season..

Which J Mac are you referring to ? Because if you are referring to John McInnes......and this is just a wild guess......but I reckon he suited up for us yesterday AGAINST Smithfield. Interesting theory though

If Jimmy is playing at Smithfield then i must be blind as a bat mate, cos i havent seen him at any games or training.
