Just had a chat to Mike Sheehan and his top 10 batters in SACCCA for 2010/2011 are as follows:

1. Jon Smith
2. Hoddo
3. Marshall
4. Stancl
5. Loechel
6. Frith
7. Mills
8. Borgas
9. Gorski
10. Atkins

Apologies to Giggs, Smasha, Cuz, Reidy, Cougar, Bucky...and every other player in the comp. Thats a tough gig to get that lot plus the extras into the top ten. And im sure after this weeks match ill elevate Mills, Pistol and Gorski up a bit. Smasha doesnt get into the top ten because it would be unfair to compare him to us mere mortals. In fact i heard a rumour when he was younger he was bitten by a cricket and something happened to his DNA and it got enhanced and he became like a superhero like spiderman but his supertalent was smashing a red ball vast distances. He then tried to fashion a comic book based on his life story but alas it and the following animated tv series and blockbuster movie just wasnt to be. Just a rumour tho.

Not a bad list auto, personally i dont think much of loechel, possibly because of his sheer arrogance  and Gorski would be lucky to sit in the top 10 IMO.

As for smasha, thats an amazing rumor, wouldnt be suprised if it were true!!

Mike Sheehans top ten bowlers are even more controversial than his batters

1. Super Cheap Auto (bowling allrounder)
2. Reggie
3. Smasha
4. Daylight
5. Daylight
6. Daylight
7. Pidge
8. Spinny
9. Churches H

I'd have Gorski and Mills before Hoddo, Stancl, Loechel, Frith and Borgas any day of the week and although i am handy with the bat, i don't consider myself to be in the top 10.

1. Marshall
2. Mills
3. Jon Smith
4. Gorski
5. Frith
6. Hodson
7. Loechel
8. Reidy
9. Stancl
10. Pidge

 Perhaps your just biased? Hoddo and Frith are two of the most naturally gifted bats ive seen! Would agree with the other 3 though.. only just ;)
Gorksi needs to start consistantly putting scores on the board IMO.

I agree with Mills and Gorski. Ive been on the fetching end of both those blokes over many years. However i have no doubt both Smith and Hoddo have steeled themselves for big years. If Hutchy (ahem) Richie continues to bat at 5 or 6 i wouldnt think hed get enough opportunities to overhaul either of his teammates IMO. At the end of the day tho prob the top 10 or 12 batters in the comp are pretty unanimous amongst us experts.

maybe just a little, but Mills has an average of almost 50 over the past few seasons and Barge has won association batting trophies before, scored 100's and had some big years with the bat. He may be a little down than normal at the moment but trust me, he is putting in some hard yards and he will be having a major impact this season!

Also IMO its hard to name top 10 bowlers because in all honesty, the bowling is pretty bare to what it used to be. Most sides have a stand out bowler then everyone in the side is pretty much one paced and similar, no real game breaking bowlers.

Agree with mills, highly rated and i hope your right abt Russell, be good to see him start tearing apart some sides, had some lean times.

Pretty sure he had some 500/600 run years and that was when there were better/more quality bowlers around. Seen him take on Bloodybouncer when bloodybouncer was at his best and play some cracking shots.
