I'm pretty sure it's 4-5 minutes per over in A&SCA if time is lost.

Smithy the first 30 minutes doesn't count as lost time so it was 15 minutes that counted as lost time. It is supposed to be 1 over for every whole 4 minute period lost but our ump had made the decision that we would lose 4 overs.

Yeah we would be pissed off but s***t happens!!!

EDIT: we would not be in a position to claim after a sunday got heated out, and we were chasing 280 odd against the Sharks. It will happen to everyone at some point!

its funny because now that the rules do stuff you blokes up its the end of the world

rules are rules bloods and everyone votes on them at the agm  ;)

Yep rules are rules JB and that is why we have nothing to complain about how they were enforced just that they need greater consideration for lost time on day 2 of a game. Something we will have a motion for at the next agm.

Far from the end of the world for us JB we are still sitting second, just a little further behind first than we would like and a little closer to third than we would like.

watched sheidow v keswick on the weekend, im still backing them in as favourites for the flag, they have the best batting line up and a good solid attack with the ball, havnt seen ana but if they beat keswick then they must go alright!

What do you base that on? Not disagreeing but want to know how you have come to that conclusion.

because they have the leading run scorer in the comp

and they have posted the 2nd most amount of runs and the best batsmen hasnt fired yet. and they have lost the least amount of wickets (by far) which says to me they bat their 75 or chase down runs with ease.

I have only played a few Section 1 games but they had the best batting line up id seen in that time. I dont know what Neagles plans are for the year but he is a gun and would of had to get a gig in the association side. Mackay at 6 and they had Patching on the weekend waiting to come in at 8.

Dont know if it is the best batting line up yet but I dont want to see the side with a better one then that.

End of the world? dont know how we you think that!
THe rules are rules and it did suck because we dominated from Blesings first over. What sucked more so is that the ramblers didnt play for a win at all, not from ball one.

however as i said above, the weather will get everyone at some point, and this was the week when it got us! S*** happens! We got alot of positives to take out of that game, making 352 and bowled really well. Just didnt take our chances (altho the ramblers tried to help us with 2 suicidal run outs).

Was a good day for our club with all 4 sides getting wins with the B grade getting an outright (we will treat this game as a win ;) ) because, for the second time in a row, it was one sided....

Also, dont know how you say Keswicks batting line up is the best JB when you didnt see them last week?? They are definitely building a case for it though, just depends on how they go against some of the better sides still to come for them!!!

selective reading ck?

my last posted stated how i thought keswick has the best batting line up and it was backed up strongly by someone who just bowled to them...

they have already played against ana and sheidow and i would have thought those 2 teams would be 2 of the better attacks going around.

lets see how you blokes handle some better attacks in plymton and ana in the lead up to xmas...

Considering Sharks and Ramblers come first and second last year and their attacks are largely unchanged i would think the 300+ totals against those two sides would count for something.

Also you are joking i hope saying Sheidow are one of the better attacks going around.

=)) Now ur pulling our legs!!!!

And yes your view on Keswick (despite not seeing them) was backed up by someone who said themselves they had played minimal sect 1 cricket.. And yes just because you play against a side (as you said Keswick v ANA) doesnt mean they have a good batting line up. Any chance of telling us what they made that day?

And yes we will be tested in the next 2 games against plympton and ANA, altho i dont understand how that relates to Keswicks batting because i dont think we have the best batting line up either!!!

PS: dont think your in a position to talk to me about selective reading. still waiting on those responses ;)

Yeah pressy made 296 against the ramblers. Good thing he did because we suck without him.

Almost as   as sheidow not letting Mal play b's.

If we sent Pressy an SOS as stated by JB, then it would be fair to say that Mal was happy to play b's but he wasn't allowed to. I may be wrong but i doubt it very much.

Mal has said many times that if he chose not to be playing A Grade he wouldnt be playing at all. The major enjoyment he now gets out of the game is working with the young guys and seeing them develop. He has no interest in playing in any other grade. Mal has worked closely with Myself Fordy and my brother and I am sure he enjoys the fact that we are playing a better level of cricket this year.
