They get a lot of spectators standing in that area anyway. You'd think it would be in their interest to get some shelter from the rain for their fans.

That was exactly our point but that still didnt interest them.
Even though it was a 9K project at one stage all we were asking for was $1500 so we thought that was fair enough.
Shelter aside, the relationship between the 2 has been great the last 10 years since they let the cricket club have the lease for 5 months over summer.
Facilities are much better than what they used to be because both are willing to put money back into the club.

I agree about the Noarlunga temp but the problem is Kangarilla and Flagstaff Hill are not located near a coastline to get any benefit from the sea breeze which keeps the Noarlunga temp down.

Warm Weather Policy - Seniors
· If on the 1st days play the predicted temperature is 40 degrees or above for Adelaide announced on channel 9 news at 6 o-clock pm the day prior to your match day, then play is abandoned that day and the second days play becomes a one day match
· If on the 2nd days play the predicted temperature is 40 degrees or above for Adelaide announced on channel 9 news at 6 o-clock pm the day prior to your match day, then play is abandoned that day and the match becomes a draw with teams receiving 3 points each plus any bonus points.
· No Matches can be rescheduled.
· In any one round it may be possible for some matches to be completed and for others to be drawn if the round is played on different days. This may seem unfair concerning the allocation of premiership points but the intent of this policy is to protect players and umpires.

as per SCA website policy

Shoeboy, how is it possible for Noarlunga to go to 2nd if they beat Cove this week ( but don't think they will) if they are 2 wins behind Cove? Cove have won 6 and lost 2 and Shoes have won 4 and lost 4 and are 12-13 points behind once the tables are updated. Surely Seaford would be favourites to beat Morphett Vale! Morphies winning would be the upset i would think. :?
