yes and no, its case by case... we let harvs do it for a couple of years when he was going through a tough trott and it worked ou well for us (or for u blokes anyway). And with josh he just needs to get his love and enjoyment for the game back back first and hopefully will soon realise tearing apart lower order teams will become boring... But the ball is in his court

You are a long time retired.
Players should play where picked. The best thing about playing club cricket is the mates you make.

Could be a few teams who made scores last week trying to bowl in some very wet conditions tomorrow. All I can say for the teams who were stuck in the field last weekend is to bat for as long as you can as nature may repay you with a draw....

Sweet dreams AF thats all that will be :D . We will get enough play in tomorrow despite the rain to get a result. The ground will take plenty of rain before it is a problem.

Today was the most frustrating day of cricket i have ever been involved with.

Because we lost 4 overs due to starting 45 minutes late. We finished 40 minutes earlier than last week but we were unable to bowl out our overs so the game is a DRAW. Ramblers finished the game 8/170 off 75 overs, 4 overs from last week.

We only have ourselves to blame to a certain extent, if we were good enough we should have taken the 9 wickets needed today but the ramblers played their game, not a tactic WYC will ever use and yes i mean EVER, but they did it well. They had the intent of playing for rain from ball one and once the rain didn't come they moved their aims to batting the day out.

All in all a sh!t days cricket that i would like to forget sooner rather than later.

Plympton also defeated Belair in its opening 20/20 with one of all time favourites Daniel Giersch making a handy 73.

I am not sure why you are laughing but i am sure if you were in the same situation you would be equally frustrated. It is a flaw in the rules IMHO. We started 45 minutes late and still finished 40 minutes earlier than we did the week before. Just seems silly that we had to lose 4 overs because of the late start but still finished well before week one.

How does 45 minutes constitute 4 overs ?
I'm pretty sure it's 4-5 minutes per over in A&SCA if time is lost.

Did you have some slow bowlers on bloods, to get the overs done in that time?

I know we dont have any spinners so the slow bowlers must have done well...
