Seeing that the topic of Seafords ground is being banded around again people should have a look at the other ovals in the association !
Porties as no shade near the ground unless you want to spread out betwen three coaches boxes.
Shoeland has had the worst run ups in the comp for a good few years now
Flaggies oval is just plain shocking went from being a sand trap and looking like carpet and is now worse than ever and even has a running track around the boundry not good if your sweeping on the fence.
Morphett vale is always just a sand pit
Cove you end up having a gale blowing you over.

we have been waiting 3 months to get the permit so government red tape is why ground is dead not srcc lack of caring and what would all the other grounds look like if the council didnt look after them i bet cove shoes and porties would be just as bad if they hadnt been watered for 2 years
Dillgaf have you got the local member onto the state of oval and is someone within the club who has some free time really working hard on this subject?? also have you looked at all avenues or just sitting back waiting for someone else to do something??
By the way what is this idiot paul70 on about???![]()
and Kangies are on a roll because I dont count the farce at the postage stamp

1. Do you realise that footy clubs make significantly more money than cricket clubs, I dont think the cricket club could just pull out a the coin to get it done...

I hear ya BAZZA, but on this occasion it's not the case.
The shelter problem is an issue at Porties and one the cricket club has been wanting to fix for a number of years.
As with all projects at the club, cricket and football go halves and each time it is brought up, the football club don't see it as important and something they don't want to really spend their money on.
The cricket club has always had funding to build a shelter, I actually got planning approval for a shelter between the timekeepers box and the 2nd dugout south of that.
20 metres long and 3 metres deep, it would've more than adequately fixed the problem, but as mentioned above, the footy club don't see it as important enough to spend their money on.
Not my opinion, just feedback I got from a PNFC committee member at the time.
