I am sure Scotch will cover up...
What happens if Port districts gets one of those funny dark clouds that sit above longer than others and they and Hope Valley split the points ???
Could be real interesting..!!!!!

Could be very interesting. Based on my calculations on Day 1, Hope Valley have moved .07 of a point ahead of Port Districts. If that game gets called off then that will stay as is and Hope Valley are safe. Scotch would have to play and win outright to knock out Port Districts. Wouldn't it be a bummer if you missed out on finals by .07 of a point!!!

No real incentive for Port Districts to want to get away, risking losing and missing out given their early trouble...Albeit, Cooper has not batted yet...
My calcs are similar..
Stay tuned I reckon......

Does My Cricket work out the total match points or is it done by the ATCA?

My cricket unfortunately. Still ahsnt got ours right for two games. Two batsmen who were unable to bat due to injuries should be includedas dismissals if the rest of the side is bowled out. Unfortunately it seems My Cricket is unable to deal with that aspect and in 2 games we only got points for 9 wickets ratehr than the full 10 which should be allocated as he does count as a dismissed batsman. I will bring it up if it costs us a finals spot.[/quote]
ive already raised this with atca

the team i am involved with will most likely finnish 3rd this year after only losing one game, to the top side. however they have convincingly beaten the 2nd side who has lost 2 games this season. it seems worng but hilights how the hot/wet weather can really afftec the table come end of season

Sounds like a tight competition. Draws can be a killer. At least you look like making finals. If you have beaten the 2nd team already then you'll just have to do it again in the semi. Good luck!

You keep telling the boys how convincingly you touched up our undermanned side that round. Should have convincingly put us away with an outright win that round but were not good enough to do it . Seeya in the finals :)

I agree that the hot weather has affected the table, oh what we could have done to hectorville after rolling them for 64 and being 1 for 260 odd at the end of the first day

azza i am not talking about how poor a side you guys put on the park that week all i am saying is that; we beat you, we have lost less games that you guys and yet we will finnish behind you on the table due to 2 draws thanks to the weather (you were lucky you played one of the bottom sides in the hot game and were able to bowl to them first and win in the first week). i doubt that a situation like this happens too often.

I understand what you are talking about pumba, but you dont use your words correctly . For instance, losing 7 for 40 odd in that game on the second day against our poor side we put on the park , I would not use words like "convincingly beat the 2nd team" because it was far from that.

i think most people would call bowling a side out for 100 and passing the score 3 down a 'convincing win'.

And thats the beauty of playing two day cricket , if you had gone on and posted something like 250 odd and then had us a couple down in the second dig, then use words like convincing

A1

PAOC
SPOC
Pultney
AHOS

That will be the top 4 in order so who will win?

PAOC v AHOS

SPOC v Pultney

For mine it will be a PAOC v Pultney GF with PAOC being too good.Thoughts?

Bear in mind also that PAOC have finished top after coming in from A2 last season. Great effort and SPOC were all but relegated and only saved by about 3 runs last year. Big turnaround for them.

Some big "ïns" for the Reds this year though

I dont know the answer, but has there been another time 4 old scholars sides made up the A1 finals?

Hook and Parrish the ins. Haven't played all games either. Good side who would hold their own without those 2.

are you sure AHOS finished 4th in A1 - I was thinking Grange may have pipped them into 4th spot?

Hook and Parish have both played 9 games (second most for the side). Hook is leading run scorer and Parrish is their leading wicket taker. Take them out it would leave a massive hole in that side.

If so, under what heading?

Thanks
