You doing fine leg to fine leg could be a benefit to everyone tho ;)

Not really, with the way our blokes bowl i would get more of the ball there than gully.

Which is a help to us, because means u will chase more, which means you could eventually be quicker between the wickets ;)

I thought you knew me better. It isn't good because it just means the balls not hit directly to me go for 4 and i send BMAC off to get the ball.

No the names are drawn out of a hat and the team drawn out first are the home team.

They'll give you a fair run if they put in their best team. They've got some very good players who can certainly hit the ball.

They went pretty well against the sharks last year IIRC.

Speaking of the 20/20... anyone willing to divulge how they're going to tackle it this year? Are clubs going to take it more seriously to try and win it? (no Mickey Mouse comments...)

It provides some interesting selection challenges. We have some good hitters in lower grades, but do you pick them? One guy hit 97* off the last 14 overs on Saturday in our B-grade. Certainly was no fluke, he's done it a number of times before. He doesn't train, first hit of the year... So do you pick him over a guy who practices each week?

We certainly didn't have any cricket training but a few of the boys worked on their drinking skills at the pub.

We will try and win anygame that we are involved in but it depends on the availability of players as to how good or side will look. We generally pick the people who will be able to play the T20 format the best, which is generally a graders, as most of them are hacks anyway. We will have a few lower grade players play though.

So are sheidow a realistic chance of chasing down keswicks total? You guys only have 10 bats this week don't you?

it will be tough but as keswick showed the boys it only takes 1 to step up and get a big score, we have 3 blokes capable of doing that and everyone else is more than capable of batting around them... if they stick to their plans they have the talent but it will be tough.

i would love to see josh bennett (playing sec 4) come up and play for us... played b grade down at west torrens and a couple a grade one dayers and t20s, hes just made about 250 in 2 weeks down there but only wants to play with his mates... and his bowling is just as good if not better than cookies so he would be a more than welcome inclusion up the top when and if he is ready...

The club should be harder on people like that. If he is good enough to play A's then that is where he should be. I think however it is an exception when people are getting older. If someone is under the age of 35 then there should be none of this i wanna play with my mates carp.
