dont get me wrong, its good to see people taking notice and actually giving us the credit we deserve for starting the season well. i think we have had the potential to be up there for a few years and are now starting to finally deliver on that potential. but to come out n suddenly start saying we are clear cut favourites? westies are well and truelly favourites and as long as they make the 4 they will stay as favourites for many seasons to come i think. we have won 3 games... theres a hell of a lot of time to come. maybe if we are sat in this position with a couple of games left i could understand it. its just too soon... form is temporary, class is permanent. hopefully this is not just a little purple patch for OTH and hopefully we will continue this throughout the year. but you just never know... time will tell.

OTH tend to get forgotten about. One minute we get slammed the next we are gonna win the premiership. LM summed it up well. We have probably always had the players but the desire to do anything was non existent. After the year we lost to Rosies in the semi by a wicket, a lot of people turned away and put cricket lower on the priority list, me included. Its completely different this year. Its just good to see people challenging Rosies and SW who have dominated for a while now.

Baaahahaha.

Now that Ive retired, I can exaggerate more and more...... Kind of like Tee Off....but he's still playing I guess ;)

Score book speaks for itself Oz.. I'm older than you don't forget & still making runs week to week in the top order. It's called lazyness Oz.. not retirement champ. Soft as butter ;)

Scorebook does speak for itself I guess.. You've made 1 score over 30 since you've started playing for Rosie's.. And 6 of those games were in the D grade. I'd hardly call that scoring runs week to week! :)

1 score over 30 is definitely not runs week in week out. And I know about runs week in week out.

fineleg2fineleg wrote:start of the season u were tipping the goats to finish 3rd bottom... we win 3 games n suddenly we are clear cut favourites above westies!? really? jumping on the bandwagon a bit there PG. Richo even tipped us to finish bottom lol. how opinions change in a few weeks.

i think just down to experience, in particular finals experience you would still have to be tipping rosies and westies to perform come the end of the year. if they make the 4, which is expected, both sides know how to win when it matters and make the GF. and westies are full of experienced, big game winners that can really step up in a grand final and win it for them.

have to look at the big picture here and not get carried away. the previous 3 games maye go a long way to helping us make the 4, but wont be winning us anything come finals

Start of the season you weren't playing div 1 but things change  .. what so im not allowed to change my opinion/thoughts?! I made a predication pre season before a ball was bowled, was an ad-hoc (look up the word young pup) comment to generate conversation... McNair, Neil, Scott, Smith, Fantasia, Hanisch.. arguably if not the best top order on paper in the comp..

As for putting you above Westies, i've had the luxury of seeing them first hand, therefore giving me the right or better position to make a judgement on where i thought they were in the pecking order..

I get on here and talk shit for laughs, but mostly i say shit that is accurate, you just sound stupid.. "Westies are full of experience, big game winners that can really step up in a grand final and win it for them"... Yep coz im sure DJ, Kershaw, Trav McIntyre, Dom Costanzo and to a lesser extend Wellington have played a massive part in their success in grade 1 over the past few seasons

Don't think you've ever been slammed.. granted you weren't rated higher pre-season but like i said that was before a ball was bowled, before the likes of McNair and Neil were confirmed starters in your line up..

Also pretty sure few pages back i raised the fact your side made the semi after finishing 2nd with a very similar side, believe me no one who has any nous about cricket is under estimating or forgetting about OTH...

p.s yes agreed it is good to see a more even competition this season.. as ATCO showed on the weekend, anyone can match it with anyone..
