wouldnt surprise me is fracka is on the move again , hear a rumor that kilburn was looking good for next year , at least they are playing in a grade that fracka may be able to handle ;)

Ps absolutely no disrespect meant to the kilburn cricket club

Gee a lot of fuss over a guy who averaged 11 for the season. Centrals have plenty of talent in the club and some fine kids, they are probably better off giving a club person a crack than a guy who has had more clubs than Tiger Woods.

There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

Congratulations to Gilbert Valley...they really did bowl well on the Sunday and were too good on the day. Some very disappointed tigers on Mad Monday yesterday but everyone is keen to learn from it and go one step further next year.

I hope the GV boys take it upon themselves to give the shield a good clean after some of the pics that came through to my phone late Sunday night.

Nothing on the forum as yet since the Bulls won on Sunday - are they still all hammered?

I'll go a three way tie, Brett Burgess, Stock and king.
Back to the creek it is.

u have prob hit it on the head there norm.. all 3 deserve it. i think king and stock may steal votes off each other tho.. GV BULLS PREMIERS.. yes thouroughly deserve it. the bowling display was spot on. tied the tigers down and that brought wickets.. do feel for GC due to i hear they went as far as printing t shirts sat night.. mmm, maybe too confident.. runs on the board in a final hey...

Agree Bigbull - runs on the board (doesn't matter how many) and tight bowling will win a final most times. GV too good and thoroughly deserved their win.

However the accusation that GC printed T-shirts is 100% absolute crap. Dissappointed BB that you would even half believe that this may have been the case.

heard it from several sources now RB. needing 100 to win with 9 wickets in hand over night. im sure the punters and cricket fans would have pencilled u lads in for the flag. so wouldnt have blamed u boys if u maybe tossed up the idea of a few premiers shirts??

Was always going to be a 50/50 contest from the outset, but more so at stumps on day 1. I can assure you that the GC boys knew the job that was in front of them on the 2nd day, there was certainly no over-confidence, it was always going to be hard work unless the Bulls bowled rubbish (which of course they didn't).

As for the T-shirt rumours, I can't say it any more than I have but it is simply not true. Anyone who says otherwise is simply lying - full stop. It would be a sign of absolute disrespect to GV if this was to happen & the GC guys have played enough cricket in their time to know that nothing is for certain in a game of cricket - especially finals where anything can (and often does) happen.

Yep, rumours only mate, no doubt about it. Kingy is about to build another room on his house, going to call it his "trophy cabinet" - yes he cleaned up again Friday night at the presentations. The guy is an absolute freak, his cricket is getting better with age (still plays a mean game of footy as well). Good to see his misses didn't foal during the game, what a sport she is, only thinking of her husband (good to see).

As for Jimmy - well a guy that is very swift trying to kill batsman obviously has a softer side to him?? Maybe he should get in touch with that and switch to slow offies next year. Most batsman would sleep easier Friday nights if he did that.

Speaking of tears, think there were some very emotional guys in the dogbox about 3:30 am Monday morning. The loss was felt pretty hard (as it should be), but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. The GC vs GV rivalry over the next couple of years should be fantastic, providing of course both clubs stay within the A1's. With the comp seeming to get better and stonger every year, every side will need to perform at their best (example - Sandy and Nuri both missing finals this year - you wouldn't have thought that at the start of the season).
