Its pretty simple really. If SACA have stuffed up their processes and that resulted in Kensington being granted a permit than Kensington must be allowed to play in the final.

If on the other hand Kensington played a player who wasn't granted permission than they should be removed from the final regardless of said players performance.

Pretty black and white i would have thought.... either there is a piece of communication that says the player was granted a permit or not and then that should be end of investigation.

Nathan Woods isn't the player in question either from what ihave heard.
Possibly a play named Eckert?

Woods got a permit no worries by all reports.
Kensington apparently applied for a permit for Eckert, and the permit came through. The sticking point is the SACA permit committee didn't agree to the permit, some pen pusher at SACA offices just accepted it without going to committee. Which is apparently not in the SACA BY-Laws.

Farcical scenes if you ask me.

H.Eckert batted 11 made a duck and didn't bowl.

A final decision here expected late, very late, this afternoon. Can't understand why it would take that long for the SACA to get their heads together and find out what has "gone wrong". If someone within granted approval, without going to the permit committee (as it sounds) then not sure how a penalty can then be passed to Kensington. Given that the player in question did not have any impact on the actual result, it would be a tough call to be stripped of the semi final win, which was by any measure, convincing.

Yep, totally agree with this. Someone at SACA stuffed up, did not affect the result one bit in the end, move on. Simple.

Pun intended?

Do both teams train tonight then? How late is late for the decision, like 5pm so they can go the Pub, or 8pm so they have wasted a night training?
What a crock of shi5!!

Correct. Nothing to investigate. SACA either granted the permit, or they didn't.

Spencer Johnson out for West Torrens for the Australia A tour of NZ is massive out. WT just can’t win now, needed to bowl them out cheaply today with the rain due tomorrow. Can’t see them getting ten wickets without Spence. Port batting in other semi too so last the day and home and hosed with weather tomorrow. Kensy vs Port at KRO next weekend my tip.

Is it a compulsory declaration after 110 overs?

Generally it’s been a bowlers season, so unless lots of rain tomorrow, I think WT and Uni will have an opportunity to win.

Yes, leaves at least 80 overs for the team batting second.

Port v Uni looks over. Port all out 94, Uni 0/8

West Torrens fighting back. 4/152 now, Hunt and Doyle gone. Buckingham just hit Brown in the helmet but he's still out there.

Apparently WT being looked into for ball tampering??

Fielder at fine leg collected a ball from car park and scraped it along the ground multiple times… all in front of one of the Kensington players walking out from his changerooms.
