How stupid is the 3 games rule....

If someone is struggling in the Agrade then they have to miss two weeks of playing so they can play Bgrade...

I mean it is stupid...shouldn't the rule be set up to encourage participation.

A much better way to go about it would be go back to the top8 or whatever where those players can't play Bs , for example

Props - Fuchs Fuchs Warick Laz Makai Reece Fowler Wyatt Bradley
Wandies - Congdon Carmody Gray Gillett Brooke Ganley Thornton Clarke
Risdon - Pine Pine Pine Hutchison Adams Anderson Twigden Johnson

not too sure about Southports and Sollies

Not sure thats how it works squid, it only applies on the week of the bye as i understand it- hence wont have to miss 2 games.

Hey lads been a while since ive posted but good to see some inciteful comments still being post.

I was privileged enough to see a cracking game of B grade cricket at Port oval between South port and top of the table Risdon. It was nice to sit back and enjoy a cold one while watching a thrilling finish. I was however a bit disappointed to hear a few accusations had been made by the south port captain and other players in the team after the game. Come on lads enjoys the win and dont ruin what was a great game played by two highly competitive sides.

For South port Chris Pollard reaffirmed my belief in being the best bowler in the comp. Another highlight were some towering 6es hit by the SP batsmen.

For Risdon it was a great partenership that got them back into the game, one battling through injury. Just a quick question, were the two risdon players father and son? i am unsure

I think from what i can gather southport didnt keep the score needed in their head, i think they thoguht the risdon boys needed more than they did and underestimated the aamount of runs they were leaking after drinks. Calling them cheats is way over the line and id like to see a strong stance by the association on this matter

Good call. Isn't the first time someone has called a Risdon player a cheat though. At least there were no racial slurs put along with it this time.

Anyone who actually follows cricket would know that Risdon are always fair and honest. Ruthless sledgers and not willing to back down, but they'd never intentionally rort the system or pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

While I don't agree with the pitch being a road....why not get some grass on it or get some cracks to develop instead of leaving it as a road. Test out the batsmen a bit more because the outfield runs the best in Pirie by a mile.

Sorry PTP I have no idea what you mean.

Edit. Maybe I do understand now.

It all flows from the Agrade...A stable Agrade team...a team full of team players is always going to beats teams with ringins and cashed up players. Look at Props, on top because they have had hardly any changes over the last few years. Risdons are up there too because they have started building a strong team environment..there are no individuals expected to do all the work. Picking their best possible teams is apart of it as well...you don't see the Fuchs playing in the Bgrade.

In my opinion cash can be better used instead of just buying players. Using that cash to built a strong team environment is going to lead to success.

hi everyone and happy new year. Its been a while but i am very happy to be back. I have a few topics on my mind which I am very interested in your opinions and responses.
First one is after this weekend the A grade teams play each other only once more and i'm interested in knowing how u think the ladder may shape up come seasons end (B grade also) and who your tips are to take out this years flag in both grades and why?
The other thing I am curious about is the upcoming country carnival held in adelaide. I have heard only 3 Pirie boys will be making the trip as players with Laz going down just to help out incase anyone breaks down during the week. The 3 players are Benny Brown, young Cody Brooke and Tate Bradley. Now I am not saying these players do not deserve selection but how exactly is the team picked. Would be intersted to know if any other locals were asked.
