Ratcliffe wont play any A2 games and if hoges decides to play at all it wont take him long to get into the 1s but it does mean someone will slip down.

You'll have to refresh my memory about this 'sacking'?

Last I heard the bloke lost interest in cricket and training and pulled the pin...

What is the reason for not clearing him?
My understanding was as long as you dont owe the club any money you cant be denied a clearance

I'm sure he'll get cleared before too long. From what I heard the association was bringing in a rule that a clearance must be actioned within 7 days or it is automatically granted...

From what I heard (and im not exactly a decision maker at GCCC), they were more than happy to clear him but they wanted to speak to him first. Would hate for a good young cricketer to end up playing somewhere else because of a misunderstanding...

work, wanting to spend more time at the track and doing other things among the list of options he rattled off... i have no doubt he will still pull on the whites throughout the year; also:

Out:
Josh Vater
Daniel Hutton (pending work situation)
Kym Vandy (most likely to captain the twos i believe)
