Meyer Shield

Postby smithy » Fri Jan 23, 2009 8:45 pm

THought I would start some discussion on this weekends Meyer Shield and hopefully get some results posted.

From what I've read, the murraylands squad is VERY strong and a good chance to take it out.

SCA squad is OK but nowhere near at it's strongest.

Fair call Smithy,as I have posted we left it too late to put the squad together but in saying that I wish the lads all the best :-bd

My mail has Hills putting a good side on the park and with our lads playing them tomorrow this should be a cracker of a game

Torrens Valley have won 3 out of the last 5 and always thereabouts.

Think the draw is

Torrens Valley vs Alexandra and Eastern Hills
Hills vs Southern
Murray Towns vs Invitation 11
Kangaroo Island vs Great Southern

The team that pulls up the best of the juice, will win this carnival! ;)

They will play again but not sure who.

But losing your first normally puts you out of playing on Mon

Not there! . Geez I knew they were keen to get the pub, but that's crazy. Sounds like the whole team went round for round with 'Slim' Johns to make 43 and everyone throwing up. Who were the sick boys?

I have played alot of cricket. Played my first A grade game at the age of 12. Played for Taile Bend in the MTCA when they had a side. We played in 10 grand finals straight winning 7. When they folded i went a played for a side in Murray Bridge. Captained that club to a Premiership. Have played Meyer shield numerous times. Played Meyer shield when it was the 2 highest points winners over the 2 days of cricket. i have represented SA in the Imparja Cup 3 times. Love cricket.

The greats weren't great because at birth they could paint,
The greats were great because they paint a lot.
