mine is what i use now gray nichols longbow monster same as andrew symonds used in world cup in south africa 3pound weapon

Ive got the same bat but have had it shaved down to bout 2.8 pound

Best Bat would have to be my old county that is used since i was in under 11's

i am using the impala redback 300 it is 2pound12oz and it is the most even weighted bat i have ever used. i had a v800 as a junior because that is what mark waugh used that is a close 2nd to the impala. when you get it out of the screws it stays hit.

Impala bats are quality
have used my brothers before and also Matt weeks in the nets once, a while back

I still cant go past the old pumas, I had one and it snapped in half, glued and taped it back up
still was a wonderful stick, I think I leant it to someone in my side and never got it back, thats the port for you
what made them the best IMO was the oval handles, used to just sit in ya hand perfect!

the other bat that I used and still have is a kookaburra diablo
cost me $50 from a guy who had a box of bats cause he had a life sponsor from kookaburra.
Said it was one of Damien martyns old bats, got it cause it had a chipped toe but kookaburra had repaired it and taped it making it a prefect bat that had been knocked in, oiled up and made match ready by someone else.
The handle had cracked long ways meaning it had extra spring when playing shots!!
I think it is just on its way out, if I had of played this year then Im certain it would have broke but i got a good 3-4 seasons out of it!! this bat is a cracker and has served me well!

one other bat that I tried but failed is the Hero Honda
I like a light bat so bought a 2'6, was way to lite and felt hollow and like pine when you used it!
if it hit the middle it would still go though!

if anyone wants to go with one of these
I reckomend that you buy a heavy one and have it shaved down to the weight you want!
I know Arron Sayers did that and resulted in a belter of a bat!!

Its worth the risk with the price you can get them off of Ebay for!!

i had a duncan fearnley magnum as a young fella..def went alright..

most of the ebay bats are bits of fire wood only kasmir willow only good for a while and they fall apart pay a bit more and get english willow

Albion are making bats now, used by Cooper and O'Brien in Redbacks, many Unley boys using them (hopefully one will find the middle soon).

I have a Newbery and it is the best bat i have ever used, just a fantastic traditional bat, not the one with the cut off shoulders.
